To attack simply walk into monsters.
Fantastic game! I love the simplicity and casual feel it has compared to other roguelikes (most of which are ridiculously difficult). Although this game is still challenging, I like that it gives the player room to make a couple mistakes. The graphics and soundtrack are just excellent. Honestly, this game could be my favorite roguelike if it had a few enhancements:
*A couple of randomly placed merchants would make use of gold and loot.
*A wider variety of items and enemies could really add some depth to the game.
*An option to turn off auto-equip.
*[SPOILER] A boss battle or two would add more excitement and deeper strategy options. Especially at the end of the game (the minotaur could still escape right before defeat). [SPOILER]
*Many roguelikes have different species choices as well as deity worship. In this case, it would take away from the simplicity of the game, but it would definitely add more replay value.
Otherwise great game!
This game is interesting, but a bunch of flaws stick out:
1. The game is too short. It's hard, it took me a while to beat, but it's still too short.
2. I don't know what the coins were for. I beat the game before the coins did anything useful.
3. The game doesn't give you much potions in the second half of the game, that's really problematic
4. The elementals are ESPECIALLY hard to deal with. Dealing with three of them meant almost certain death for my character.
amazing game you should have more health at the start
Excellent rogue-like! The game play is fantastic, fast paced, and addictive. I like how the spells recharge over time versus a mana-pool style system. The selection of spells is good. I like being able to swap out spells to customize my character. I like how my shadow-walker can be detected. It makes my heart jump up in my throat when I get spotted by the enemies I'm trying to sneak by while low on HP.
The graphics are well done.
I love the item descriptions! They give just enough extra flavor to make each item seem special. The descriptions excite my imagination and makes the fantasy world immersive.
nice roguelike with lots of loot. would be nice if you could have companions like a dog or something
lol at spas it would take a fucking century to create a custom map for a roguelike.
Also question, how many levels are there/
