Beautiful!

Everything from art to music to gameplay! I love the attention to detail for even the most minor of things, I'm speaking of the map at this point - there are birds flying around Icewind Pass, smoke billowing out of the chimneys of cottages, and ships constantly entering and leaving South Port in the Crystal Sea... I even noticed one sank because it was attacked by the Kraken!

The music is motivating with a definite feel of the calm before entering battle, the fighting ensues, fight and keep fighting til victory! Even having listened to it dozens of times, I am still drawn in by it.

As for the gameplay, on the skill tree: I stuck to a fully upgraded Barracks soldiers, fully upgraded Mage tower, fully upgraded Reinforcements, and nearly fully upgrades Artillery towers. I went through all the levels, never building a single Archery. After beating all the maps, I decided to try Archery, especially with poison (as hadokenstyle pointed out being effective)... I concluded that these towers were really only effective against non-armor type enemies & there are tons more armored enemies than non-armored.

While the Artillery towers are slow, they produce massive splash damage & I fell in love with the Tesla X104 - chain lightning, multi-hit attack... and super charged for radial damage. Can't go wrong & thankfully no enemies are made of rubber. Or, for distance hitting, you could go with the 500MM Big Bertha armed with Dragonbreath Launchers... again, if you have the extra money and want to support your front line, this is the way to go, these missiles can go anywhere on the map to target an enemy.

The second best tower was Sorcerer Mage. Lowers enemy armor, while dealing damage... and my fav for this tower, Summon Elemental. Once I saw that and activated it, I used it for all the levels! Your elemental will get the job done! Durable, strong, and revives on it's own - you just need to buy it once! Makes me wish I had learned about this towers abilities in advance, Arcane Wizard towers are MEH compared to Sorcerer Mage towers.

As for the Barracks... never decide to use Barbarians. It's nice that they are 'strong' and can throw their axes if you choose that upgrade, but they have SO little armor that it's pointless to use them to stop enemies in their tracks. Paladins are far more sturdy and can be upgraded to have more fighting power... they are literally human barricades! And if you have your Reinforcements fully upgraded, they are practically Paladins with the Barbarian ability to throw their weapon as a ranged attack - every 10 secs and you can place them anywhere on the roads, huge advantage!

Agreeing with hadokenstyle... I was disappointed as well with not being able to proceed further into the game, for free... but understand that you can't live off of our comments. I have to make one correction with his/her review, you can take 2 hits to your heart points and still achieve 3 stars... not that it's easy, just sayin'... lol

Also, even before reading the comments... I prayed that you would magically add a speed-up button... because some of those enemies timers would go off & they wouldn't show for a good 10+ secs... very annoying. Nearly all the tower defense games that I have ever played have a speed-up button option. It may not be used by everyone, but at least those who do want to use it have the power to do so.

Overall, great game! =)

P.S.: all-time least favorite enemy... Demon (anything) with their Infernal Combustion >.<

Kingdom Rush

Kingdom Rush adds a different spin on the tower defense type of games.
Already making it's name known all around Newgrounds.
The game starts of slow like Normal TD's Start then here comes the difficulty.
And it works.
Great.
No real flaws here, but it isn't perfect.
Yes the gameplay will be addicting and i will find myself coming back and playing this title often.
But i think the game is to addictive that it starts to get boring on how slow enemies die off in battle.
I try to keep my waves paced so i'm not over flowed and everything but come on.
Kingdom Rush is by the best TD game I have played on NG yet.

This is a very good game

The game offers the player to come up with different strategies to counter opponents running down the track, graphics are good, and performance is good. the variety of challenges available makes the game more enjoyable and upgrading your towers makes its more attuned to your strategies, the farmers as reinforcements are all you need for the whole game though, they tie up enemies and thats all you need. plenty of innovation in terms of upgrade types and the addition of reinforcement, however still similar to standard tower games, but the extra tweaks put it made it a game that was enjoyable & frustrating.

hmmm i smell spam reviews

can you explain why every spam review ie "BEST GAME EVERS!!!" is flagged as helpful and a top 10? you see that makes me automatically wary of this game and more prone to provide negative critisism as i am now.

i found the graphics to be iffish as well as laggy and the formula to just be another rip off of any tower defense game you can find on the web. theres nothing inovative or new to draw me to this game so therefore i give you a 3 out of 10 for just rehashing the same old tower defense.
