Kingdom Rush is the best tower defense game I have played, ever. First of all, the graphics and art work are flawless. The landscapes and structures are lush and vibrant. The unit animations and weapon effects are done to perfection. The musical score compliments the action of the game very well and the sound effects are second to none. I spent hours on this game and not once did the framerate drop. All the towers and powers in the game are fully upgradeable, none of which tilt the balance of power in your favor, they just keep you dangerous enough to win. Each level is a challenge, requiring you to utilize meager resources to defend an exit point. The mechanic that kept this from being just another TD game are the barracks. Placing one on the path sends three units out to slow down the enemy while the towers do their job. Each level grants a new tower upgrade and eventually a new tower once fully upgraded. There are loads of enemy types and on later levels, support units back up their counterparts. This forces you to adjust strategies on the fly and sometimes sell towers that are no longer effective. While all this sounds like any other TD game, this one combines every winning mechanic and some of their own and the finished product is truly amazing. This game is good enough to have a twenty or thirty dollar price tag. I am grateful to be able to play it for free and if this review compensates you guys at all then I'm happy. A little advice, make another and charge people for it! This is one of my favorite games ever and I hope theres another coming. Great work!
