The Newgrounds (Xin Di) internet webpage company present an informative series on the teaching of a Chinese Language. He is very simple, so lazy American people can learn this useful world language.
These lesson is for the Mandarin (world language), not Cantonese (the People's language).
Chinese for Lazy American People
Lesson 2 : Words and Characters
Disa helpa me hungry american learn'a 'bout the chinese.
In all seriousness, this is very interesting. For example, a boring chinese teacher, teaching this stuff, would usually not give much interest to the goods.
Your injecting of humor is a very smart aspect. Teaching us dumb egg Newgrounders Chinese, with a funny twist.
This "c.l.a.p" animations are so smart, i love'em, and you too since castlefailure.
and about the fiery car ManiaGuy said before. My opinion is that since japanese people are less lazy than american and smarter than chinese, they refer to trains as %u96FB%u8ECA (densha), where %u96FB (den) alone literally means electricity and %u8ECA (kuruma) alone literally means car, and so train is electric tecnologically advanced cars while chinese trains still are refered as fiery cars. And since japanese are so superior, everyone like them, different from lazy american people and inferior in martial arts chinese people.
yeah, i'm gonna play doodle god.
this is brilliant! i learnt, AND i had fun. wait... WIAT NOO! does not compute.. er... electric brain...
brilliant video, love your stuff :) i've already deposited my votes, i'm gonna go and give you a 5 anyway.
That "word combination" thing makes me think of Doodle God.
That's actually very accurate. Even more like doodle God is each of the characters, as they contain combined "elements". For example all words relating to "water" (ice, thirsty, swimming), are composed with the element of water on the left-hand side of the character.... ooo, this could be a fun lesson.
I think I learned a bit of things from this.
Electricity + Brain = Computer.
I never did understand why: Fire + Car = Train
How is a train a fiery car?
Loved this lesson!
Cuz Trains ran on stream power fueled by burning wooden logs.
Though a literal translation would probably be more like "Firetruck."
