A soundboard for Volume 2 of the soundtrack from Valve's infamous game Portal 2!
- 22 songs!
- 73 min. of music!
Please rate and review! Volume 2 coming soon!
No copyright infringement intended!
it has an ok layout and the pause functionality is good but why should I have this when I could just go to thinkwithportals.com/music.php and download from there in much better quality? no offence, but this doesn't seem like much effort to me when you don't even make the actual content of the flash. feel a bit stupid saying that MYSELF if you know what I'm talking about but I'm just saying. Also putting ads in this you shouldn't either because, again, copyright of Valve and stuff. Just saying.
Well thanks for the review, like i said before I will fix the quality next time and will add more features and effort to the next soundboards. Thanks for the advice!
there is nothing wrong with this one but id like to see wantyougone in the next one
According to the soundtrack order, "Want You Gone" is all the way in Volume 3! Sorry.
I suppose this soundboard is alright as it is anyways. Provides some good music for when you're just roaming the internet or playing a game. Nice to see you give credit to Valve for the songs too. I guess you are going to do two more soundboards for part two and three of the soundtrack right?
The backgrounds were nice and simple. The companion cube on the starting screen was rather nice and the radio button was a nice reference to the first Portal. However it could have been the song playing from this one instead which was Exile Villify.
The buttons all work which is nice to know. Favorite tracks are probably Science is Fun, Concentration Enhancing Menu Initialiser, 9999999, Ghost of Rattman (mostly because you hear Rattman speaking gibberish in it), Friendly Aerial Faith Plate, I Saw A Deer Today, Hard Sunshine, and Adrenal Vapor. The custom cursor was also nice looking too.
Overall, just part of a soundtrack for a video game in soundboard format. I guess maybe allowing for different backgrounds would be nice so users could scroll through a few pictures while enjoying the music. Aside from that, it's alright.
Thanks for the review! First of all, thanks for noticing the radio button reference, tried to remind people about the first game in the awesome series. Also my favorite songs are probably 9999999, Science is Fun, and Concentration Enhancing Menu Initialiser. Another thing, next time like you said, I will add Exile Villify onto the radio and adding more pics!
But okay is all it is, as far as soundboards go, it's nothing new or diffrent, I mean it works as expected, although the sound quality is a bit poor, this will happen when you condense a lot of songs into one flash. The menu is okay but the custom cursor can be a bit of a distraction.
The Portal 2 logo at the top has been badly cropped, as you can see a bit of white behind the leg of the blue person and the edges are a bit jagged. The one main problem I am seeing here, as with most soundboards, is the lack of original content, you could have perhaps coded a graphical equaliser or something to go with the songs, also, you may want it to play next otherwise it becomes too much work to come back and click a new song when one is over.
Overall, I'm not seeing anything new or intresting and there is a lot of room for improvement here.
Thanks for reviewing. First of all, I could have made the audio quality better but Flash only allowed me to make Stream audio to make the play/stop buttons work which made the quality lower. Also yes I'll try next time to crop out the logo better with Photoshop, it does look a bit cruddy. Also will try to fix button error. Thanks!
