Hey guys, I’ve started work on a possible William and Sly 3. Follow me on facebook for updates! https://www.facebook.com/LucasPaakh/
It feels good to be finally submitting this. I hope you all have fun! Merry Xmas. :3
The game should save automatically, but opening the map will do a manual write to the HD. This might cause a moment of lag on some computers. So, DON'T PANIC! lol
If you want to make sure your game saves, open the map before you quit. It should be fine even if you don't, but a tester had an issue so I threw a flush statement in as a failsafe. :3
I very much like the map aspect and like a nice relaxing game. One problem is that it does lack any real story or reason to do things you do besides a brief intro and ending.
The game itself had great graphics and decent sound. The jump mechanic was easy to learn and didn't require much skill to play at top level.
My biggest complaint is the map doesn't really show that you explore an area real well. It only shows if you explore a spot if you find a landmark such as a chest, pixie, rock or temple. If you add some gray to signify you haven't explore an area it would help tremendously.
I got everything but it did take about 30 minutes. I got almost everything in about 15 and spent 15 more minutes trying to find the last few things. For the people who are truly stuck you might want to have a map at your site that shows where everything is.
There wasn't much to complain about the game itself except very little story aspect and not to much skill involve(more a trial a patience and exploring). The graphics are probably one of the best on the site and the sound decent enough. If there was a more indepth story I would of given it a 10
There's a pretty involved story in the journal pages. Press "B" to see it. :)
I loved it!
I have to say, that it is just amazing, but hoped more difficultness just like in the earlier game. I really hope that there are coming another one too! :)
I don't usually go out of my way to 100% complete any game, but the progression you've achieved here sparked that part of me that wanted to collect everything. A peaceful experience with many nice touches, diverse goals for the most part. However, it's a little frustrating towards the end as you try to find the last mushroom, open the last chest.
Because of this, I found the ending was slightly anticlimactic for the amount of effort I made to collect everything. Not so much a design flaw as a personal disappointment of my own affliction, but it would have been nice to feel more rewarded for the effort you invest in this flash game, whether in the form of a final challenge akin to the first William and Sly, or something else, perhaps something deeper, more significant regarding story and/or the characters.
This game, as a flash game, asks for quite a bit of time and effort from a player, but not too much, and I never really felt like just quitting. The game gave me reasons to spend the time, even more than the first game did. It pulls you in as you play.
Well done on the visual design too, it is very effective. The music fits well with the visual style as well, the two working together to create a peaceful atmosphere.
I enjoyed this game very much. Well done. :)
This is probably the most beautifully animated flash 3d game I've seen so far. But this kinda lacks a story, hence the -0.5. Other wise this is another "be-my-bitch-for-the-next-hour-to-fin d-my-stuff-I'm-too-lazy-to-go-get-mys elf" game, and to be honest that's a lot of games. Hell, that's half of WoW.
But still great/funny/clean humored game.
Very good artwork, smooth fluent movement, soothing background music and sounds, and a nice fun relaxing game. I got pretty frustrated because I got all 100 mushrooms and only 23 journals and after about 20 minutes of looking for the last 2 journals I just had to quit :C.
