MENU CONTROLS ( top right corner )
click on :
- sound icon - turn off / on all sounds ( sfx )
- music icon - turn off / on music
- pause icon - pause / unpause the game
- exit icon ( top left corner ) - return to main menu
CONTROLS :
A, D / LEFT, RIGHT - move the character
SPACE / Z / W / UP - jump.. holding the button makes the character jump higher
W / UP - enter doors, activate revive portal
WASD, arrows - mash this buttons to escape when attacked by soulstealers
M - mute music
+ / - - change volume
P - pause the game
R - restart the level
ESC - return to menu
27 Life and Death
Death-its desolation and horror-bleak spaces-sea-bottom-dead cities. But Life-the greater horror! Vast unheard-of reptiles and leviathans-hideous beasts of prehistoric jungle-rank slimy vegetation-evil instincts of primal man-Life is more horrible than death.
The game is puzzle platformer that revolves around a mechanic involving life and death. When the character dies, it's not the end of his journey. The player will find themselves in situations where death is in the answer to solving the puzzle.

UPDATES :
- the hard getting fairy is now visible on the screen
- fixed hp bar issue when it didn't disappear when traveling through life / death worlds
- easier to damage enemies
- fixed fairies bug ( now it should be possible to get good ending for 2nd time
- fixed preloader bug
- box will now move away from edge when player jumps on it so it will not be stuck anymore
- player doesn't need to collect all fairies again if he starts new game
- easier movement & controls
- lowered down volume of landing sound
- fixed some special effects offsets
- and some other stuff I can't remember anymore :P

So apparently death is good? :P
This is an overall great game. The cheery music and graphics bring me back to a simpler time of The Legend of Zelda :) 10/10 from me!

Fun!
Good job! I really enjoyed it. It reminds me enough of Tower of Heaven that I'll compare the two games side-by-side in my review.
Tower of Heaven - In my opinion, a more polished game, complete with a level editor, refined puzzles, a larger soundtrack and multiple endings. The game's downside is that it was fine-tuned for speed running to the point where there wasn't room for alternative play styles.
Verge - Great platformer with a story open-ended enough to be inspiring. While less polished than Tower of Heaven, it has the advantage of supporting and encouraging multiple play styles. With intelligent puzzles and naturally flowing game play, it's a fine addition to the platformer collection. After all, who doesn't like being a sinusoidal function transgressing to and fro beyond the barrier between life and death?
Both games are worth multiple play-throughs, and both deserve a well-earned 10/10.

Jumping between life and death, huh?
This game is awesome. :3 Althought it lacked a plot, all I see is that I must get to this angel girl with monsters in my way. Like the idea of jumping between life and death. and the verge of what? Life or death? or both? hmm it leaves me puzzling.
This is very a nice [art] game. like to see more of it. XD

P.S. I noticed some butterflies, Are they some medals or something?
BTW, if you unlock medals, you will find out more story from the medals descriptions ! :) And yeah, to unlock medals you need to collect fairies, and finish the level after...
