27 Life and Death
Death-its desolation and horror-bleak spaces-sea-bottom-dead cities. But Life-the greater horror! Vast unheard-of reptiles and leviathans-hideous beasts of prehistoric jungle-rank slimy vegetation-evil instincts of primal man-Life is more horrible than death.

The game is puzzle platformer that revolves around a mechanic involving life and death. When the character dies, it's not the end of his journey. The player will find themselves in situations where death is in the answer to solving the puzzle.

the game's concept is very unique but i think it still lacks "the thrilling experience" kinda thing.
plus the dead character controls are a little inconvenient, for me the jump should be S.

Death looks worse than life in this game.

Immediately noticed the Cave Story like art. It's not bad, but aside from the last two stages, none of them really stood out.

The gameplay was fun. I got everything but the Loki medal.

What I don't like is having something so vague to the imagination and calling it art and good. I played as a shadow who more or less ignored fireball-spitting monsters and chased after an angel for curiosity.

I particularly disliked the soulstealers more than the living monsters.

And I collected fairies to be caged later on as platforms...?

It seemed more like random elements put together than an actual plot building up.

Good concept but aggravating movement

The left-right acceleration is really slow, making it way harder to control and making it seem as if the character is sliding on ice. Platform games are better without this "slipperiness" - pressing the left button should make you go left, the right button should make you go right, and if you press neither you should instantly stop.

This wasn't so bad in the first few levels but it's really noticeable (and aggravating) when you have the puzzles that involve precision jumping over spikes with a 5 second time limit and a looooong walk back through the underworld if you misstep. Giving up on the game because of this.

Great idea, but a litle too repetitive for being really interesting. I didn't end it....

Candycats

I am not sure if it just lagged for me or if the controls were just really bad. The art is nice though, but reminded me a lot of Cave Story.

One thing that annoyed me was the sound of landing on the ground. I thought it's way too much there. I'm also not sure about the concept of dying and then having to find your way back, although it's used in a way here that it's not just a respawn mechanic, this concept always seems super nice on paper, but in reality, for me, it gets extremely annoying fast.
