Oíche Mhaith (pronouced "Ee-ha why") is a short game by Increpare and I.
I could tell right from the get go this was not going to be a happy story, the dialogue, the scenes, even the colours told us that something was wrong. I especially remember the hallway in most 8-bit games halls are complete removed from most buildings but your dark gray gloomy hall made for an excellent transmission between scenes.
I have to say the parents were just so horribly mean even after they die the second time. I mean usually an apology means that you recognize your fault (which in the parents case was mistreating their daughter) but here immediately after apologizing the parents turn around rejoice at meeting with their son and say "finally our family is complete" once again completely ignoring their daughter. That just pissed me off!
Perhaps in your next game you might make it a bit more complicated to solve. It was interesting to see the different mix-ups you could make but it would be nice for a few more options also a replay button would make seeing different options easier.
P.S - What happened to the little girl????
Scene and atmosphere - 5/5
Dialogue - 4/5
Story - 4/5
It was a Nice game but it kept on freezing when i was trying to bring his family back to life :/
But anyways it was fun and i enjoyed myself ^^
AMAZING!!! Such a great story about parents who can't cope and toss their anger om others... Strong, sad massage transformed in a cruel, merciless way.
Never cried so hard from an ending of a game! Simply brilliant!!
That was by far one of the most depressing flash games I've ever played. Well done being able to truly play on a person's emotions though.
lol the dads waching 8 bit porno XD
The sequel to "Outpost:Haven"

A thrilling rush through cyberspace!
