EDIT 12/23/11: Before any of you decide to give it a bad review because "the message is incorrect" or "the animation sucks", the idea of war is one's own interpretation, and the animation isn't supposed to be spectacular. Then again, I'm getting into a war myself with these reviewers, because I have a different opinion. Just proving a point.

The joke was funny, I giggled.
As to everyone else... Just 'cause you played Civ 5, you share the opinions of your peers and/or parents, or even go to college and think you've seen the world does not mean you know what war is or it's nature. You've never been to war, you've probably never seen war outside of a movie theater or outside of your home. Just a fun fact that I thought you forgot or didn't know.
And!!! the author stated that the wars between prehistoric era to WWII were represented in this. So all this hyped talk about oil (another thing which you nothing about... are you in office making the big decisions? ... didn't think so.) needs to be checked. I usually don't rant in newgrounds, but it's late and I'm intoxicated.

True... Then again...
Yes most Wars are fought over Belief, and ideas. They also have benefits that only feed into doing so, but mainly Ideas. What you should have done was Make it how battles start. To alot of the people obliterating your video with crap reviews just because the American Revolution... Not to be harsh but that IS Idiotic. Some of the people also giving reviews are trying to argue that the revolution here started with the want of freedom... It WAS an IDEA specifically. You shouldn't have made it so, Idiotic Sounding, But a little more formal if you were just trying to make a point out of it... The fact you made it a joke is why your probably got all of the bad reviews. Fights started with a spark, (( Idea )) that touched the Fuse and Ignited suddenly, or slowly over time... Some people just don't get that though. Anyways Next time you wanna make a point, make a statement, give it facts, don't just Say something that your thinking makes perfect sense to JUSt you.
