Now with brand new graphics by Dugan, an amazing artist.

I wanted to make a very small retro shooter where the player had just one life to try and survive as long as possible through waves and waves of aliens and space debris.

The mechanics are simple: Use the cursor keys to move around space bar to fire. Shoot everything that moves and if it that doesn't work get out of it's way. You only get one life - use it well.

meh

nothing really sets this apart from any other shooter out there, and no rapidfire?!

Good, but expand

This has the potential to become a great game, but it needs more. Add a few extra lives, and maybe make it so that I can hold spacebar instead of mashing it. More kinds of enemies would also add a lot to gameplay.

definitely need some auto-fire up in this b, was a bit tiring.

nice look though!

One of the things I was playing at was a powerup system that changes the rate of fire.

I liked the retro feeling, also I agree with Mchector, you should add more lives at least. Nice game.

Are you happy with the deliberately low res feel to the enemy? It's taking a lot not to throw more colours in there :)

Could be better.

Good work on the nice retro arcade effect but maybe include more lives, upgrades, health and power ups and waves of enemies with increasing difficulty,so that it would be easier to survive longer.

I'm up for that, it's a fun game to work on. I'm actually working on more waves and possibly bosses.
