Hmmm...

Watching this, I had many questions rolling in my mind. After all, the style has changed dramatically, and the creator had been involved in a variety of projects very different from the usual high paced action of the Awesome series (Girlchan in Paradise as lengthier works). So here we have a mixture of the two sets of jokes.
The first half is what we've come to expect from Awesome videos: quick puns, strange dialogue, bizarrely ecstatic voicing and a clever application of visual puns. The animation has taken a step into new angles, which makes the setting flow a bit better than in earlier works. The pacing is slower, but it places more emphasis on character interactions with each other.
After Pikachu is hit, the action slows. Movement is minimal, with a new focus on well executed facial expressions. Visual angles are more diverse than previously, and the humor is still present.
What changes severely is the dialogue focus. Instead of several characters sharing the dialogue with a series of quick, sharp prattlings, Pikachu commands the spotlight and spends a lot of time moaning, swearing, and trying to think of what to say. About a good 50% of the scenario after Pikachu is hit is either Pikachu swearing, Pikachu moaning about his knee, or silence.
This is alright, but it lacks the color, the charm of the quick pacing of the earlier videos. Still, I recommend watching it. It's humorous, there are some great points, and when parallels are drawn to the Pokemon universe, it's dead on.
