So the game itself is fairly easy.
Great overall design, enemy execution was nice. The music was repetitive, but it didn't bother me so kudos there too.
Now difficulty hardly ever ranked up and I found that most of the enemies were easy to face especially since they had very simple attack patterns. Now what would have been fun is if you created an achievement for going through the game without spending any of your money and never buying a single upgrade, weapon, or piece of armor.
My favorite part has to be the control scheme. It fit very well and made things easy for me as the player. I'd make things much more expensive in the inventory though. I say set up the game so that if the player makes any decisions to miss enemies it will affect greatly which guns he will get in the end. I recommend tightening the budget and make players have to think economically. Like they have to buy the economics books first and then have to figure out what they will be needing at certain points. Anyways, very fun and short.
3/5 and 7/10.
Good game Man 5/5 10/10
I like it!
I like the graphics, gameplay, music and level design., good job!
I give you 8 because this game could be even great with some adjustments like:
- tune up game balance and difficulty (too easy right now)
- the upgrades are cool, but not challenging... you can easily buy the last weapon and after that, you just don't care about the other weapons (the laser should be harder to get)
- the level design is nice too, but after you get the laser, you don't care anymore (about money, enemies, paths) and just rush the levels to advance
- unlocked characters should have some special skill
- achievements are not challenging
...but the game is interesting enough
to keep you playing until the end, good job!
Insert summary here.
Usually, in games like these, I wait to purchase anything until the first time I die. When that actually happened (some time after the first boss), I had enough to get the laser gun and four or five other upgrades. From that point on, the game just felt tedious and bland. I found myself running through spikes and enemies just o get to the end of each level. To be honest, at least half the fun I get out of these games is working to upgrade my character. Beyond that, there was nothing interesting to hold my attention (though I did finish it). I hate giving negative reviews for games people obviously spent a while making, but this game could be better with the right tweaks.
a little short easy game
simple game play
