well

nothing awfully original about the plot or the characters...
and the animation overall could really use some work...

well.. only time will tell if this project can really take off, do your homework man and try to improve the characters drawing (the only major issue) and im sure it will get a lot better overall.

A lot of hard work

My two cents: You put thought into this project and came up with a decent story. I agree with most of the reviews on the point about a "cookie-cutter anime," but tried and true works. The art could use a little work (one person mentioned arms being too short), but that's why we practice. The voice work was superb, but people only notice the audio when something screws up.

As far as the critiques, I found that the animation started off kinda videogame-esque, like "Hero, here's your quests. Embark on your generic adventure!" There were times when the villain seemed unnecessarially evil, which works if he were prejudice or sadistic, but he seemed a military thpe, so it seemed a bit off. As for the heroes, they appeared to still be vying for each other's approval, which is fine for the trainees, but that one super strong vet seemed a bit hollow for a character.

I'd like to see how this will progress as a series! Keep up the good work. Animating is no small feat, nor is a project of this scale. Good job!

...Art needs work...

Honestly the music and voices where not that bad and I had no problems with them; however, the art is not good and the story could use some work. The story just seems to be too simple at this current point and the way the characters are introduced is poor but since this is the first episode I will not criticize that factor too much for it is just the opening and I can understand how opening something can be troubling. The art has no excuse though, the art is poorly done throughout the entire episode and almost convinced me to close the video because how much the art was ruining the episode. I had to stop at one point and think of how this would be if it was just audio without the art and I found it to be much better. The art has proportional problems all over the place. The face, although still bad, I will not be too harsh on because it could be considered "unique" for its style but still has little feel for the proportions of the face. The bodies on the other hand were often disgruntled and distorted in the fashions that they were provided. The shoulders were often found to be tense, the arms often just stubs, and the chest found to have some odd shape as if the top magically was wider than the bottom. Their were numerous other problems associated to the proportions of the body but not as bad. Overall this would do fine if the artist could fix the problems and make the art cleaner and more professional.

yes i am aware my proportions and anatomy needs a lot of work - - but i'm not a professional - i'm just a guy who does this as a hobby and i need to practice just like anyone - - but honestly - if you thought the art was THAT bad...i don't know how you watch much on this site.

Probably just me...

But I can't seem to watch it at all - it just keeps skipping onto the next scene after a few seconds. What gives? :(

Could've been better

It was interesting i could say but ther re some thins i would try to fix. The mouths when they talk is one thing, it looks like it was rushed or the the animation there was lazy. Second was about some of th voices, theyeither didnt fit the character or the voice acting wasnt too good, a example was te guy next tolod fassner i think his name was the blue knights. Anther thing was soe of the moving, like the pig running back,it was good in some parts but bd in others. There was more but i'll end it at the part where i say that wensomebody is being held up by ther neck its will make it harder to breathe hence needing a choking voice. I hope that you make the next one better and enjoy, even though you made this for enjoyment for others to watch fixing small mistakes could also help others enjoy this a little more.
