Captain Zaron and the Trials of Doom is a full-length, fantasy adventure game inspired by the Sierra and LucasArts games of the 1990s.

You are Zaron, a fearsome pirate who returns to his homeland after his sister is kidnapped by an evil tyrant named Mulduralm, who plans to sacrifice her in an ancient ritual that will torch the entire kingdom in apocalyptic hellfire.

The game contains over 150 locations to explore. In a classic point and click style, players interact with the environment by using inventory items and casting spells. There are also a handful of timed swordfights.

Great game! I mapped the desert because I had a very hard time orienting myself there. From the 1st room ( not counting the room you're in ) go 5 rooms North to the Zat guard and the stone totem, 3 rooms East to the parched bones, 2 rooms South to the cactus, 7 rooms West to the chest ( compass and 77 gold )- if you follow the compass from there you have to keep going back into inventory and using the compass on Cpt. Zaron to get out. OR, from the chest go 3 rooms South, 4 rooms East and 1 room South to exit the Desert.

the only thing complex is how much time i spent running in the desert LOL. besides ''that'', very good game 8/10

This game is really great for a browser flash game, and surprisingly complex. I've really been enjoying it! My only complaint is the timed sword fights, in which your opponent has an unfair advantage and the controls are a bit sticky. Zaron doesn't always react to the keys I press, and I think you're expected to react a bit too fast for what is otherwise a normal point and click adventure. Instead of fun, I found these segments tedious and frustrating. I'd rather see them removed, or revamped. Otherwise, this is a spectacular game. 4 stars, losing one for the combat.

Impressive game!

Well, this is an incredible game. I can't understand how it isn't on the front page. Seems that a lot of effort was put on it, it's a pity it has had so little feedback and such a small score.

I was expecting a pirate game, kind of like Monkey Island, but it has little about pirates. Anyway, it's a pretty good game with a very interesting story.

Only thing that is annoying is the sword fights. They're unfair: the enemy has 3 lives but I only have one. If both of us had 3 lifes (or 1), it would be easier (and more fair). Right now I'm stuck there and I can't figure out how to win the guy in purple (the most I managed to achieve was 2/3).

^_^

great great game reminded me of ye-old adventure games I grew up on, the puzzles were good game length was surprisingly long and there were A LOT of neat ideas in this game !!! Also the storyline was quite engaging shame the ending was such a let down..even if there's a sequel (hoping to see it soon :) ) a wrap up of this games storyline would have been nice..
Some puzzles could have been clearer but oh well..most adventure games have their guessing moments.
All in all great game and hope to see the sequel soon.
