A simple game where you collect boxes through each challenge to get to the top of the toplistings.
This game was made over-night as a quick experiment of working on arcade-style physics games.
I don't expect this game to make it far.
physics are awful and its not to original otherwise pretty good.

"Nothing too new or interesting" is the perfect description of this game. You've implemented no new ideas into a game that is based on the simplest of concepts. It seems to me that you're really just showing off what you've learned thus far as a flash game programmer (I use that term loosely). I don't make flash games, but if I did I wouldn't submit something unless it was A) Finished and B) Had something new to offer people. You have achieved neither it seems. Sorry if this seems mean but you really need to take it at least a step further and implement something creative before you resubmit this, assuming you do so.

Through trial and error alone I figured out the controls. Why didn't they appear in your comments? Also every time I lose I suffer an advertisement. On top of that, The friction on my "pong paddle" (<<<controls hint) is way too low. Either that or its the gravity of the block that is too low.
Hey Kaka, I love NG, but when submitting the app, it is the only site I know of that doesn't specifically have (quoted) Instructions/Controls, and without that as a reminder my airhead forgot to add them. They should be in the game anyhow and I can't rely on portal descriptions as not every member will read those anyways.
I'll see what I can do with the physics of the boxes to improve them for smoother play.

Needs work... a lot of work
The concept of "Box Magnet" is not what i would call new, but it is an idea that is used less often than most games. For what it is meant to do, it does reasonable well, but runs into serious issues after playing for a time.
The instructions (or lack thereof) leave much to be desired. In fact, I hope I'm not alone in saying this, I didn't even realize the platform could move until the second level. While the option to mute sounds is nice, the music doesn't fit with the material it is meant to supplement.
One thing I believe that should be changed is the (possible error) that causes blocks to fly off the platform when they reach the edge of the screen.
The lack of a level select and any explanation for the goals of the game, combined with the issues outlined above, cause me to rate this submission a 2.
While you yourself mentioned you didn't expect this game to get far, I would recommend you put more effort into cleaning up you games before submitting them.

I can't agree with music as unfortunately tastes between people vary too much, and what one group might find suitable, many other groups wont. Hence the mute ;)
I understand it is somewhat frowned upon to submit incomplete or lacking games, however I think the NG community has a lot to offer with their reviews in terms of improving; far better than anywhere else i've experienced (especially the pointless, 1st impressions over at FGL that cost money for mostly useless reviews). The forum holds a place for that, but in a live environment you can learn a lot more.
