11/8/11 Still working on the medals guys, hang in there. Also tried some more optimizing to fix the slippery/sticky controls issue some of you have. (also, if you have a FB tab up, try closing that)
**CONTROLS** LEFT/RIGHT walk left/right UP = Jump DOWN = Raise shield (while standing)/Use Weapon(later in game,while standing)

Update History:
11/5/11 Patched vanishing keys, walking off map, alternative ending, Medals implemented but pending.

Well...
I liked the concept and the graphics because i love creepy music and oldschool
8-bit / 16-bit, but the controls were totally messed up. I still was addicted to finish the game but there was a huge bug: if you die and fall a long way down while dead, your corpse remains stuck when it reaches the ground, thus you don't get revived. I lost the wish to continue the game.
I can only give you 2/5, 5/10 because of that, sry!

Creepy great!
People!! Sometimes its nice to see different points of view!
We need experimental games to change our perspective sometimes!! This is a great game, absolutely unusual but that doesn't mean its bad or that sucks!! The gameplay is tricky and also the purpose, but I am sure many people will enjoy something about it! The awesome music, the creepy scenario, the characters, etc. You can see the massive amount of work and details in here, great job Amon26! Keep them coming!

bad game
it wasnt scary the fact that there wasnt a way to fight annoyed me the controls were poor but i get what you tried to do its a good idea just not done well if it had more work into it i think it could of been a good game not sure how it got front page though

Good concept, poor gameplay.
I really thought that the art direction for this game was spot-on. Really atmospheric, clever, original. Having the words scattered across the background was a good concept... though they were hard to read sometimes, I think that was on purpose, and hardly mattered much anyway. A couple cheap scares, a couple slow ones, overall a good balance.
The gameplay itself needs some tweaking. Well, a lot of tweaking. Jumping is too floaty, acceleration is too slow. Hitting a platform on the side not only kills your sideways momentum, but often your upwards momentum too. Water (water!) kills you. Just lots of frustrating deaths. To your credit, none of the enemies themselves are too difficult, so it seems like you were cognizant of the problems.
Really, it's a good game, well structured, good length, good rhythm... it's just about halfway through it stopped being fun for me.
