11/8/11 Still working on the medals guys, hang in there. Also tried some more optimizing to fix the slippery/sticky controls issue some of you have. (also, if you have a FB tab up, try closing that)

**CONTROLS** LEFT/RIGHT walk left/right UP = Jump DOWN = Raise shield (while standing)/Use Weapon(later in game,while standing)

Oyeatia, creator and god of man surrenders his deity, descending to the green earth in search of a lost love. Gyossait sleeps in the warm black heart of the dying planet, her dreams seep into the weakening minds of man. The end begins.

Update History:

11/5/11 Patched vanishing keys, walking off map, alternative ending, Medals implemented but pending.

Very good

Fascinating bleak scenery. It reminded me of Evangalion for some reason... probably the choice of color palette, the presence of impaled figures, the and inverted pyramid in an underground geofront.

The music was very particular, in a good way. The creepy and distorted essence was its main attraction, but there was more to it... a dash of sentiment and sorrow as well that made it a very good soundtrack while walking around.

The gameplay, on the other hand, was dull at times. The fact that your objectives were pretty much to pull some switches and get some keys to open some door without any major understanding of where you were going and why, with little variation, made it seem like a chore, but the music and scenery helped keep up the interest... alot of eye candy in this game.

The story was a little hard to come by... but I just read the explanation you gave in your blog post and the things that happened in-game are starting to get clearer now.

Overall this was a very polished and nice looking game. Much detail was put into it and it shows.

Thank you for uploading this.

wow

i love how you made a pixel game that is creepy and still has a lot of detail in it. It was poetic and artistic. I think it was an all around good game and the only complaint I have is that the controls are a little sticky (like i hit left and the player keeps going left even after i let go), but it wasnt too bad because i was able to play through it.

nice game.... but.

i love the idea, love the sounds, love the writings, i even love the pixel artworks.

but:
what stoped me from playing this game to the end is
1. the controls were just **** i was trying to manuver between shooting enemies and i couldnt turn fast enough for raising my shield becouse i have to stand completely still befor i could shield myself.
2. i think you would disagrea with me on this one but i also hated it not to know what i was or where i was going or what my purpose was in this game. i was just randomly opening doors and listen to.... spirets? telling me creepy things.

for the rest great game i realy enjoyed it 4/5 7/10.
