Melee Man is a collaboration between myself and David vs Goliath. We built this game in under a week! The game is rendered at 160x144 (Gameboy Color resolution) and features addictively brutal gameplay elements and 2 beastly boss rooms.
Melee Man features the retro stylings of Daniel Davis. Daniel is making waves in the USA chiptune scene with his blend of timeless melodies and mathematical rhythms... using only an original GameBoy as his instrument!
Controls:
A/D or Arrow Keys to Move
W, Up Arrow, C or J to Jump

10/31/2011 (2) - Fixed a bug wherein the boss on level 15 had more health than intended. He should now die after the 8th hit. Thanks as always for your continued support and feedback. :)

Well this was notbad its a fun game and you got frontpaged too so that was nice, A great game and some boss battles that are kind of tough, There is even a luck factor you bring to this one here, but anyways a good and entertaining game here so nice job

Amazing game, with a very tough final boss. How do you unlock the 'Scores' medal? Is there a way to submit a score on the final level - I just died every time through the hole where the arrow points?
the jump ability needs a little work
really tough game at the end only complaint is i didnt realize dying made you lose points so one level i pressed r a bunch of times and lost almost all my points without realizing it, still got them back on the super mega ultra hard levels though so 5 stars for difficulty
Really Great Game! Reminds Me Of All the Fun I Had With The GBC With The Art Style. Great Job With The Difficult Bosses!
