From Homestuck, on my webcomic,

Obviously makes more sense if you are caught up on the whole story, but hope you enjoy anyway!

edit: Thanks to those who've watched it and left comments. The small file size is just the loader, the rest of the movie is about 50 MB, hosted elsewhere on NG. Tom is graciously helping me host this file for my site, and since it's already on here, I thought it would be cool to drop it in the portal.

If you're watching this and already read Homestuck, thanks for following. If you're new to it, hope you like it and will consider checking out the story. There are many animations of this sort, making much more sense in context.

I got no idea what I just saw but I like it and I'm going to find out.
Or perhaps I don't, some movies are more impressive when not understood.
Anyway, this was a movie of superlatives and I was impressed (and still am) by it's pace, it's details, it was just great!

Beauty in Motion

It's like watching a red giant collapse in on itself to become a white dwarf.
The sheer effort and love crafted within this animation is awe inspiring.
This is one for the history books, folks.

Did you say webcomic?

I must say, I'm intrigued. This video suggests a very deep, copmlicated plot with potentially a lot of sci-fi and symbolism. I love your style, and I want to look into your comic and potentially add it ot my collection.

I decided to not post immediately after watching to give you my impression of your comic. I'm typing this in Notepad, so I'll just write down my reactions in order:

* WTF? How is this relevant to the video AT ALL?
* ... This comic is unlike any I've ever seen. It feels like it's interactive, even though it isn't, and it seems almost like John's world is in a computer
* The names of these data structures are a bit hard to remember, but I'll probably figure it out eventually
* Da fu is beagle puss? Oh...
* I still don't see how this is relevant, or can EVER be relevant. I see some images from the video in the comic, but a LOT is missing.
* O.o That's so poetic... 01982

Note: From here on I'll post links to the pages that engender my responses, or no link if the page isn't relevant.

* Oh wait, I get it. Capta (capture) log, as in a log in which you can capture things. For some reason it behaves like a stack.
* DA FUCK?? It seems like there's absolutely no question about it - this takes place in a game. 01990
* Wait, he's going to the site on which he's hosted? 02011
* I still see no venue through which this comic can even begin to approach anything shown in the video.
* Ok, so that's where a few of the symbols from the video came from. I guess the content is all about this game within a game. 02036
* Ok, there's the intro 02037
* The game within the game... controls the game it's in? Meta, much? 02041
* Stuff's going down 02077
* Wait, I think I remember seeing those in the video... 02093
* It's that comet! 02096
* Now I can see how the video and the comic might connect.
* Now I get it. Weird, how something so simple and seemingly ordinary (with a twist) ends up as something as complicated as the video suggests. 02148

Good sir, your comic is amazing. 'Nuff said.
