**EDIT**
Thanks for Daily Feature :3 Even though I got bombed with low votes later on, it doesn't matter now, I got what I wanted :)
Also, could someone tell me why is there so much hate towards hard games?? And don't you dare say it's because of a bug or glitch or whatever, because that's NOT the reason. I've seen this kind of reaction to many other insanely hard games in the past 6-7 years I've been visiting NG. I guess kids here don't like a challenge when they see one O_o

At last! Here is the sequel to my previous submission, Donkey Kong Arcade Returns! It took me nearly a whole month of hard work to finish this. I fixed alot of bugs from DK Arcade 1 and added different difficulties and other new things. This will probably be my final submission for 2011, and I hope to start 2012 with many more new games to offer the good people of NG.
This is a remake from a hack from the original arcade version, properly titled "Donkey Kong 2: Return of Jumpman", by Jeff Kulczycki (jeffsromhack.com). This is MUCH harder than the original, and it's even longer, with 6 levels to master before you can finally defeat DK. If you're having trouble with a level, try an easier difficulty!
Thanks alot to NG admins Tom and Mike for helping out when they can, and to BabeGamer for convincing me to start this :)
I had a lot of fun making this game, I hope you guys enjoy it and don't get too frustrated, it's supposed to be HARD!

Arrow key issue
I can't really give a review so I just rated it close to the average
I can't play this game because it doesn't work with my arrow keys. I don't know what's wrong because my arrow keys work fine otherwise.
Aww...sorry to hear that :( Try at some other site like donkeykonggame.org or andkon.com maybe that version will work

You've recreated another existing game
Originality is dead.
Lol I never aimed at being original, isn't that obvious? :P

It's fun, but also buggy / cheap at places.
I'm not sure why people seem to be marking it down due to difficulty. I found it to be pretty fun. There are a few problems though.
- At the top of any ladder, you can hold up and your character moves like they're going up a ladder. It also creates a terrible sound-loop.
- In the first stage, you don't actually need to jump on the moving platforms. If you stand on the lower one and move toward the one coming at you, you clip right on top of it. I don't think that's intended.
- It's not clear in the 2nd stage that the oil bubbles or whatever can kill you until you actually die to them.. and in a game with limited lives, that kinda sucks. Getting around them was no problem once I knew they could kill Mario, but a life was wasted figuring that out.
- The 3rd stage's ladder on the right side is RIGHT next to the edge of the screen. It's basically luck whether or not you'll get hit by a pie when going for that ladder / climbing it.
It's got a very authentic feel to it and I had fun playing it. Just need to work on the glitches.
Thanks for the review! Hehe from the points you mentioned, I guess the only one I'd count as unintended is the first one. I intended you could just walk through the platforms because it sort of helps un-experienced players a bit (though judging from the reactions, people didn't notice at all). The others were also done intentionally, I guess except the lvl 2 sark thingies killing you, but there's not much I could do there :P

Should've known
It was a bit confusing to see where this would go at first. I thought that maybe the scenario would be that I was playing Donkey Kong. Of course, I should have realized it wasn't that easy at all. The best thing about this is how awesome the graphics are, especially in regards to the old game. The reason I didn't like this that much was because it was too hard! This is probably because I was never good at that game in the arcade to begin with.
The way you have to get all the way up there seems like infinity. The hardest part is the moving blocks which are so precise in wherever you go. And I thought that jumping over barrels was impossible to do in the original game! It makes your realize that these old games are still hard to modern standards. The music is nice too.
Thanks! After reading other reviews, apparently people on newgrounds have a certain remorse over hard games XD Hehehe but oh well, thank you for not letting it blind you from actually enjoying the game!

Old school game
sadly comes with old school control. The game looked nice but the controls were slow and hard to use. Of course I could just be spoiled seeing as how I am used to Ps3 like response time.
Slow and hard to use? -___- Seriously? Arrow keys and space bar? That's a first... O_o
