A quick psychological trip through Karissa Ventourner's distorted mind.

A scene directly form the upcoming episode of An Unfortunate Girl.

I felt bad about not being able to finish the full animation in time for Halloween like last year, so I took a break from working on other scenes and finished up this one specifically for the occasion.
It's rather short, but I hope it still makes you feel uneasy!
Please recommend for the 2011 Halloween collection.

Very Interesting

I am fairly new to this project of yours, and this clip was enough to get me interested. The atmosphere made me feel incredibly uneasy, and creeped out. Awaiting some sort of huge, climactic mindscrew at the end, but left with a feeling that I wouldn't be seeing the last of these animations.
I'm pleased with the overall result, as you didn't use too many horror cliches to get the point across. Although it could have been longer, I was still satisfied.
...but afraid to take a nap.

Not terrifying, but definitely all kinds of creepy

I love anything that's creepy and seriously weird, and this certainly fit the bill. I'm a much bigger fan of subtle chills than out-and-out gore. I do feel that it lacked something which prevented the images from being truly scary... I mean, when I was watching, I felt disturbed, but I also felt like you could have elicited more of a reaction. Everything was very rapid and there wasn't much time to build tension or atmosphere. Then again, it's only a short clip. Regardless, I am definitely intrigued and impressed enough to check out the rest of the episodes and the upcoming full version of this one.

Long live the creepy mindfuck!

TheFabs responds:

Yeah, the scene isn't necessarily suppose to make you have a heart attack from fear. I just tried to make the viewer feel uneasy, like they are being sucked into this surreal, stuffy, red nightmarish world for a short time.
Another goal was to have the viewer wonder what might have caused someone to manifest these beings and environments in their mind, because those kinds of questions are what will be answered when the full episode comes out.
