This is my first flash game ever
so you play as Spooky Snake, and your mission is to retrieve the golden pumpkin in the house
Intructions:
Press [ENTER] to start
Hold [X] to light up your lamp
Arrow keys - move
Hold [Z] to run while moving
Hold [A] to view destination objective
if you see a camera, walk up the wall below it so you won't get caught
Proudly appreciating Clickteam and Newgrounds, made for the halloween compo
Every movement is custom (not built in)

A little buggy

The game was okay. I like how you incorporated the flashlight into your game, it was a neat effect. Mind explaining how you achieved that without the add and subtract ink effects? I felt like parts of the game was really buggy though. Especially with the sight from the cameras. You should have a line of sight engine for the cameras drawing lines between them and the player and testing to see if they see the player with nothing obstructing between the lines while in the right measure of degrees. This line would stretch the Xscale to be the distance between them using the distance formula: Square root of X2-X1^2 + Y2-Y1^2. Just like your "objective" line :) sometimes it would see you and sometimes it wouldn't. Also in the second or third level i tried to hind behind the pillars but the camera still saw me, so it was kind of pointless. Try to add more stealth in the missions, maybe having the enemies being able to hear your footsteps and turn around if you're close near them. Overall it was a decent game, but there's always room for improvement :D

Thanks alot for your review, well I'm very used to MMF2 developer and using alpha channels so I got a bit of difficulity on making it in tgf2, but yeah, I kind of finished the game in a hurry being scared of not finishing in the competition,
the usual line of ight I do is the same as my "objective" engine, but a bit laggy if I add many as it's not HWA , this style:
+ always
- Set Xscale of"LoSPixel" to Distance(LoSPixel, Target, quality 0) (Direction calculator event)
- Set Angle of"LoSPixel" to Angle(LoSPixel, Target, quality 0) (Direction calculator event)
thanks much :D

It was alright

It was also the first submission by The Games Factory that actually got more than a 0 from me.

You guys haven't been putting anything out that really qualifies as a game lately. Looking at this, I can't really blame that on all of you. But y'know, it happens.
I look forward to more like this.

While it could use some improvement, it actually works, and isn't a copy of another game. Keep up the good work.

Thanks alot , and I'm looking for more improvement in the future using the game factory (it takes a bit of a pain to makes games without extensions)
but yeah, thank you
