I'm stuck at the last level because I can't get them to act aggressively towards cats!!!

I absolutely loved this game. Once I got one to full humanity and such, that I had to kill it to go further in my research. It showed, though, how you can get attached to your specimens, making it even more involving. Excellent game! I still need to finish it, but I figured I should write a review before I forgot to.

I love this game! I've gotta admit, this is one of the few games that stand out for me. It's like a zombie pet! The only thing I'd suggest is testing on more than one zombie at a time; I feel like a massive dick killing my 100% humane + happy zombie. Otherwise, moar Lab of the Dead! BTW, I think chihuahuas suck too! (Sorry Starfalko!)

Quite Addictive

What surprised me about this game was the affectiveness of putting the player in the shoes of the scientist. Particularly at an early stage in the game and with the inclination to elicit a positive/passive reaction from the zombie, I found myself becoming somewhat attached to my subject as he warmed up to me. When I realized that in order to achieve advanced reactions, I would either need to shoot him full of holes and club him until he was good and angry to get aggressive reactions or would have to flat out kill him and bring in a new subject to rile up, I began to weigh the options based on what seemed the most humane for my new found friend. Before the looming decision could build into a palpable dread, I realized that a) this was a game and b) this was a zombie in said game, which gave me the leverage necessary to blow his legs off with a grenade.

I find the problem with the zombie genre as a whole is the utter lack of ingenuity or the unwillingness to approach the subject from new angles to keep the very concept fresh. With a glut of great zombie defense/shooter games to choose from, as well as the equally unique Road of the Dead, it is a breath of fresh air to see a game like this that is well-produced and looks at a well-tread subject with new eyes.
