Without going into too much detail

This game is just not as good as the previous one. I find in your series, you take one step forward and two steps back. Not to mention there is rarely anything innovative about them.

And plot wise, well, seriously? Can we get over the whole demons invading, end of the world crap? You've done it to death.

Okay, those are my critiques. The actual game itself is functional, the art work is good (though when you resize characters the quality is shot, and it just looks stupid). Actual gameplay is relatively smooth. It's also repetitive.

My problem with your games is that you have so much potential, and yet you don't take the time to really invest it to create a game that would be superior. Instead, you keep coming out with the same game over and over again. And each time you do, I give you a lower score. But apparently people like it enough to give it 4+, so I guess you know what you're doing and I don't.

That doesn't mean I can't hope you'll use your powers for good (the good of us newgrounds folk).

And that's all I gotta say about that.

Slightly Dissapointed...

This game remains true to the "Epic" portion of its series.. with the few dissapointments I've faced...

The Hero dies and its over? Really? They suck so bad even fully upgraded and half their skills are available through other units making them useless.. lame if you ask me! They should have a higher level cap/more upgrades and be able to wear more than 1 accessory.. Range units are the only thing that actually makes a battle beatable ( similar to the previous versions so that's ok ) And lastly, Buff's don't stack??? What in the world where you thinking removing that which was in all previous games? Even against the enemies! I poison them and my succubi's then burns them and cancels out the poison -_- wtf? It should stack! I don't want to have to cast shield on my close combat units and then cast rage seperately on my range units..

The EXP system in this game blows, you should have a pool that you can use for any units you wish like the previous games.. I don't want to spend hours grinding for EXP for 1 unit only when I unlock one that I want to use >.< My hero has over 4000 EXP unused.. and the rest of my army all together has over 10000... see what I mean?

I'd add a faster than 3x speed .. 5x or even 10x? that would make grinding less painful!

You still get a 8 because I'm a great fan of your work but consider fixing these flaws or never putting them again in futur games.

'Epic' is an overstatement

While Epic War 5 is still a good game, it still lacks in the EPIC portion of it's title. Most battles dissolve strategy to selecting all units except the hero and hitting advance, then waiting for the fight to end. Your hero becomes a hindrance in later stages, as s/he dies WAY too easily, causing you to lose if the actually fight.
The game is still sound in it's own right, but it just lacks the epicness of Epic War 4.
