Follow the story of aurora and misery she creates all around. Find yourself walking in her footsteps. Or meybe it's her following you?
Unlike the First Aurora.
I zoomed through this one easily. The simplicity isn't so thrilling, but the story and twists help by grabbing my attention. I'd personally like to feel more of a challenge, and I am looking forward to the sequel.
I am sure going to miss this game when its over..
Slightly less than the sum of its parts...
Having enjoyed nearly every game that Pastel Games has put out in recent years, I can say that they know what they're doing. The people there have a unique knack for combining mesmerizing artwork with engaging gameplay, and the Aurora series is no exception.
The "sequel," which is obviously going to be serialized (in how many parts, I'm not sure) is both a step forward and a step back. The artwork in Aurora 2 is gorgeous and expands the palette beyond the muted earth tones of the first. It's not often that I get to stare at a game without fear of my character dying. The plot continues to interest without giving much away, so here's hoping that the subsequent parts don't disappoint.
The only problems with this game are the utter simplicity of the puzzles. In the first game, the player's success depended on which items to buy or ignore, or how much attention you paid to the details. There is none of that in Aurora 2, where every puzzle is really just a speed bump. Add to this the diminutive length of the game and one really starts to wonder if Pastel Games was in a hurry to put this out.
As I said earlier, I realize that the sequel is going to be serialized, so I can't harsh on it too much. If nothing else, it was a beautiful 15 minutes of computer time (staring included).
The stunningly beautiful artwork, the chilling music and the suspenseful story blended seamlessly together to form an atmosphere rarely achieved in flash games. Incredibly well done, can't wait for the sequel.
Looking forward to a third
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, and as much as people are saying they found it difficult to get through without hints, I actually found it easier than the first one. I only had to use the walk through to find the gun under the floor board, where as in the first I actually had to start over because I missed a few items only available in the beginning. I can't wait to see what you do with the third, and finally find out who Aurora is.
its all ending where it started......?
how many parts will you create?
i love these kind of games, packing story, point and click, awesome atmosphere and music...its epic!
There is no game. Trust me. DO NOT PLAY!
