I made this game based on an idea by @petermolydeux on twitter:
"Game where an asteroid is about to hit earth, the aim is not to stop it but to say goodbye to every family member. You have 120 of them."
I used reduced graphics, sound fx and story elements to fit the original idea. It's just about the goodbye. The end is unavoidable.

Use the arrow keys to move around your character and touch your loved ones to say goodbye!

Simple =/= Lazy

Okay, what? The meteor looks like it was hastily put together in a few seconds, the gameplay is bland and unenjoyable, the conept isn't the great to begin with, and there's almost no reason besides a bigger number to play this again. Yes, you only made it in a few hours, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be lenient with your score here. However...

if you had more time, i'm sure it would have been better. So, if you were to make a better version of this game, with soundfile that wasn't earrape, with a meteorite that didn't look like it was created in a few seconds, with an actual atmosphere and playability, THEN I would almost definitely enjoy it. As it stands? Not at all.

I love this meteor. In fact, it's my favorite meteor!

Pretty sweet concept

Really cool concept. You had me with the words "@petermolydeux" so i defiently had to play. Needs a bit more work tho..

RetroArts responds:

Indeed. Unfortunately, my time is limited. I already filed an update for a more balanced version. However it still needs to be approved by the site's admins. Thank you for playing!

Goodbye,,, err, who are you again?

The game is unforgiving towards players as it is difficult to discern one NPC face from the other dozen on screen. The mechanics works fine but have been done before so the game feels both antiquated and dull. The premise seems interesting but the execution is lacking in emotional impact. Decent but mundane.
