awesome

I love it but lag and an ad popping up in the bottom left corner got me killed after survivng several days and I lost interest for now. Its fun enough that I did get addicted to it a bit until then.

This game is great and has a well-developed plot and lets you design how you want your character to look like. However there're 2 things that I dislike about this game :
1) It take hours to win
2)It lags when you get a companion
Otherwise I thinks it's a good game, so I'll rate it a 4.

Alright...
I have followed this series " Last Stand " since the very first game.
There have been major developments since the first game, and this one has taken a completely different turn than the first two. The first two, were basically " Hey, just stay here and DON'T DIE, and wait 'till morning comes around, then do your thing. " And they were pretty enjoyable with very minor issues.

This one however, is completely different.
You aren't playing Jack anymore, you are playing your own character that you make. Boy, girl, beard, no beard. It doesn't matter, it's your own character that YOU MADE. That is the first big change, you aren't playing a specific character, you are playing your own character.

The first seconds of the game, you notice the next big change, YOU'RE WALKING. In previous installments of this game, all you could really do is just strafe up and down a man-made barricade. But you are walking now! And what's this? You have skills and attributes as well? You can DEVELOP your character to how you see fit? What treachery is this? Developing your OWN character and WALKING, this is now a " Last Stand " game that is completely different from previous installments. And... what's this? An actual story instead of the ol' " Wait - Get supplies - travel. "

In this game, you have to rescue your partner, and THEN get to safety.
Still along similar lines, but at least there is more of a story.

Now, the gameplay is decent at times.
I had a horrible experience with butt-fornicating lag, non-existent hit-boxes, and controls that would stop working for some reason at the WORST TIME.

My complaints aside, the game play is basically you equip your weapon, whatever it is, possibly traveling with your companion, kill all of the zombies, get what you need, and then get to the next area as fast as possible, because this game has a tendency to realize you are having fun, and send a horde of zombies from the next floor up to screw up your day.

I, unfortunately could not continue past the military base because the lag got so bad that it took too long to even more, let alone use my weapon.

I wish I could have continued the game, because for the most part I was enjoying it.
Oh well, it was fun whilst it lasted.

4 stars.

I love the RPG features, the action and suspense, and also the story, I liked the surprise cameo ;) But I thought If it was more sandbox it would be nicer. Its a little forceful to follow the storyline. If this game was multiplayer, it would easily earn the coveted five star rated from me.
