Play in Survivor mode for a more realistic experience where the need food and sleep will be added to your survival requirements. Or play in Run'n'Gun mode and blast your way to freedom.
Trying something new Still a great game!
OMG epic game duddes keep going!!!
Story is a bit lame. Also way too easy if you are in Run'n'Gun mode. Rewards you if you stock up on supplies from the start with... unchallenging gameplay. Other than that this it's pretty awesome.
its a down game but you have just one thing f***ked about it as most games...try to remember about us left handed players. like make right click for reload or somethin
This game is very good. Not the greatest ever, but it does well for itself.
First off, if you played the Last Stand before, you'll notice this: This game does not follow the Last Stand formula of staying in a fixed position waiting on waves of zombies, then scavenging for supplies. I do not see any resemblance to the other Last Stand games besides art style. Not worth losing anything in the ratings, but just know it's not what you think if you are familiar with the Last Stand, but that does not mean it's worth passing up.
Now, for the game itself, I was personally not blown away, but I didn't hate it either. The side scrolling is definitely not in my formula for a good game, but it does well for itself here. Along with the side scrolling you can enter buildings, which are often either empty in terms of items, or full in terms of zombies. If they aren't full in terms of zombies, just be careful where you step, and always make sure you are close to the door. Also do keep an eye on special items which you can find around, like special weapons or quest items.
I dislike the companion system. I was actually pretty upset when my companion(s) died, and I couldn't revert to an earlier save. With RPG type games like this, you can feel responsible for the deaths of a companion, I know that's how it was with Dogmeat in Fallout 3, I would revert to an earlier save. Also, if you pass up the opportunity to have a companion, you are not allowed to recruit that person (Which could be good for their sake.) But still, that option should be available.
Another gripe is that the mission specifics... are just not specifics. I cannot even finish the game because I can't remember what was said, and cannot have it repeated to me. The flashlight has no purpose except to attract zombies, and when you are over-encumbered, it's not like Fallout where you can't run, you can't even MOVE, which is frustrating as I cannot carry a weapon to a equipment box for later use because it's "Too Heavy." I understand that heavy things are hard to carry, but if we're trying to shoot for a good realistic experience, which is what this game seems to be striving for, don't do that, plain and simple. Sleep is also hard to come by, because you have to venture out of your way to find a safe-house, and then you may get mauled in the process.
Now, of course, there are many things that are good, it has a great story, and a wide variety of items. If only I could carry them all...
Don't pass up this game though, play it first and see if it's your cup of tea. I went out of my way to play this and I wasn't to thrilled with it. It doesn't live up to the other two games success/ fame.
TL;DR: This game is good, but it may not be that "perfect" game for you. If you want a great zombie game, play the earlier Last Stand games, they seemed to offer much more to their titles.
Physics platformer with time-portals. One place - two times and different level geometry.
