KIDS EDITION - simpler controls (less gravity, smoother jetpack)
Every gentlemen knows that money doesn't grow on trees !! In fact, money grows near sky islands ! PIck up your steam jetpack and go collect money and rubies in the sky ! :)
Unresponsive control is not a good game concept.
Remember when you were a kid and there was that broken controller that nobody ever wanted to play with? The one the dog chewed the cord of, or the one your dad stepped on in the middle of the night? Imagine a game where playing with the lousy controller and winning was the central gameplay concept. Is it fun?
Well, did you ever choose to play with the crappy controller, or did you always fight over who got to use the good one? Did you ever think, "Hey, you know what would be fun? Mario Brothers with a 1 second delay to reaction time."
Well, then you're not going to like this game.
It was an idea, and the graphics are cute, but it's just not fun. You show a lot of promise, though, and here's hoping your next idea is a better one!
Fuck**n No Good
this not a nice! i screwed up in level 6 those shards are annoying even if ur not hited in the center of that shards or what so called that? you will die.. ahahhahaha.. so easy to die if u focused on the coins .. stupid coins
A good attempt...
Collision detection is WAY off... especially on the bats. I gave up after my 8th death from coming in contact with empty space near bats hovering about. If this was an attempt at a kid-friendly game, it's a failure. Far too difficult to be for kids. Turn down the gravity, make the character "float" a bit more, instead of plummeting the moment you release the arrow, fix the collision detection, and put more space between the coins and obstacles. As a standard, adult game, this was decent. As a kid's game, it's an utter fail. Please fix.
Not a good game
Music is repetitive and gets very annoying, the game is also very annoying, controls are "good" but off, far too easy to die
Me being nice; the game has a lot of flaws, with a surprisingly decent control scheme. The jetpac should feature a hover function, or maybe even a chart that explains what the controls are. The levels aren't difficult to me honestly, it's getting through them. The contact boxes on every collide-able object in this game is so enormous it makes what would make a challenging level into hell. I was able to come to this conclusion by about level 12, but I decided to keep going just to make sure I wasn't being an ass. About 6 levels later, I realized that I wasn't being an ass; the developing was just that bad. Not that you can't make it better. And I hope this doesn't discourage you. Please; by all means, make a sequel. Just implement better game mechanics, and pickups for your steampack.
Also, bats? Really? Broad daylight.
