Sketch Quest is an action-platformer that uses a unique drawing mechanic to have the player customize their character. You control a character in a high-school student's notebook and earn/draw weapons and enemies as you advance through the levels.

This project was developed by five students at the Vancouver Film School Game Design program over 3 months.

good, but...

perhaps a "Drawn to life" ripoff?

Needs more polish.

I give props to the author. I think the idea of drawing your own weapons & such is a great idea. It allows you really be creative & it makes the game a bit more fun. That's a cool innovation I appreciate.

The game itself is a bit of a clunky platformer. The controls are a bit awkward (meaning slow to respond) and the flight trajectory of your thrown weapons is tough to aim - especially when things are coming down on you.

I think that this is a good alpha version, but it really needs a bit more polish to make it great. Keep working on it! Once again, thanks for sharing a new idea with us!

Poor Platformer...

There is far too much happening on the screen to even tell what is going on. The graphics are not very good and the sounds (although I am well aware that you made them yourself with your voice) are poor. There is no story to make me push on and there is no real creativity here. I've seen these before.

The only reason I give this a four is because I drew penises for all of my weapons and hats.
