Sketch Quest is an action-platformer that uses a unique drawing mechanic to have the player customize their character. You control a character in a high-school student's notebook and earn/draw weapons and enemies as you advance through the levels.
This project was developed by five students at the Vancouver Film School Game Design program over 3 months.

A game wherein I could draw stuff AND kill.
I love both, so I definitely love this game. Very creative.
Some tips:
-mute the speaker of your computer at the start of the game.
-whenever you see something red in front of the character, unless it's a bomb or your own weapon, jump.

Where's the separate sound options?
Your sound effects are nice (though the voice acting does get spammed sometimes), but overall they were funny and creative.
However, your music was awful.
Next time please put in an option to mute the sound and music individually, instead of both.

Creative, but lacking in solid gameplay
Pretty creative game, but unfortunately its gameplay is pretty dull and the drawing system leaves much to be desired. The music doesn't help either...
Drawing system
* Add some kind of eraser button so that players don't need to undo
* The undo system is bugged; sometimes it'd create an extra pencil line which can't be removed unless you clear the entire sketch
* Would be gladly appreciated if you could change the brush size and add more colors
Gameplay
* Add more enemies with more variety and some proper boss fights, especially enemies that you can draw
* Aiming your weapons in more than the usual angles would be nice
* More effects than currently given for the weapons
* Speaking of weapon effects, I found a very useful exploit; spam the "effect" pencil to make your weapon get the effect, then undo. You'll get the weapon without the "effect" pencil lines but still get the weapon effect. Please don't fix this exploit though; we like to draw our weapons without being forced to take a certain colour
And maybe change the music, it makes me feel really moody and bored.
So in summary the game needs more/better content, gameplay and a better drawing system. Otherwise, I'd say this is a fun and creative game that manages to bring about players' desires to draw what they like.
