Crystal Story is a turn based rpg that uses a random dungeon generator. You control four characters and configure what skill sets they learn along the way. You can earn equipment upgrades that will help you traverse through Evil Cave by destroying monsters or playing minigames.

Edit: I have been hearing a lot about save files recently. You can backup your save files here:
C:\Users\(username)\AppDa ta\Roaming\Macromedia\Fla sh Player\#SharedObjects\(so me number)\uploads.ungrounde d.net\579000\579445_rpg.s wf
The file names should be rdgDataSlot(number)
Clearing cookies and/or cache will delete saves.

so cool
this is a pretty cool game. not the best out there, but its still up there. did you steal the names for your characters from "Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest"? that just seemed too coincidental.

Addicting, but flawed
It's a fantastic game, but it's a little repetitive. The only beefs I have with Crystal Story are that elements are tied to characters and unchangeable and that the level 25 boss is ridiculously upscaled from all the previous monsters.
My four level 26 characters were slaughtered by that boss. Its attacks are too strong and uses its magic attacks way too often. I'm not able to keep my characters alive with constant healing and reviving.

this is possibly the best non-commercial game
i have ever played.
the RPG strategic elements are implemented perfectly, there is unbelievable amounts of content, the battles (though pretty easy when you have +mag and +atk all) are exciting and keep you on your toes if you dont know how to power up, and its just a fun experience.
the only "negative" is that the armory makes the game a little too easy, but thats if you know how to abuse it ;)
you are a saint among indie game developer.

Wow....Blown away!!!
Freakin' Incredible! I haven't gotten that far into the game yet, but so far, this is great! The introduction to the characters are great, and having four people just makes it even better! I am having a little trouble with things like:
I was fighting a zombie, and it attacked me, and it killed all my people.
I was kind of angry, but i know how annoying programming games can get, so im not hating.
I was grinding and i got some great weapons on the first floor.
I think you should make it so better weapons come up on higher floors.
And finally, i geuss i'm just stupid or something, but i dont know how to take jobs on the job board. If anybody knows how to do it, or i just go ahead and do it, please PM me, cuz i'm kinda lost.
All in all, incredible game. Loved it so far, can't wait to beat it.

Great fun
Its not the best looking or varied game, but for a free flash game it sure does beat a lot of those multi-million dollar games i have sitting on the shelf collecting dust. If i can make a comment on how to improve the game is to have weapons a level cap depending on what level you got it on (e.g getting a weapon at level 2 will only let you upgrade it to level 7) because i found a orange weapon bow at the start of the game and haven't found a stronger weapon since then.
