The Lance.

The ultimate goal for any aspiring jouster.

Will you ever claim it? Will your descendants?

You'll never know unless you try - but the Kings champion isn't going to make that easy!

Good one

Well you seem to always make a fun game this one was nice some good mechanics it has some nice graphics and just an overall fun gameplay and playthrough just wish there was more medals here but enjoyed the game for what it is

~X~

just aim as far away as you can at the start wait a second and then aim for the head you'll connect every time and beat the king by the 2nd generation

Oh No... A White Screen! Ahh! Now What?! DX)

If you'd made "Plays Lance A Lot" worth 25 points and "Horses For Courses" worth 50 points the lance would look correct under the "Medals" section.

Alternately, if you wanted to keep the same point amounts, you could have simply named the second medal "Slays Lance A Lot" and that would have positioned them correctly as well.

Let's be honest here. Most of the game is holding back *A LOT* and intentionally throwing the game each time you get to the champion just so the game doesn't end when you beat him so you can actually grind up the large amount of gold necessary to buy that best horse and obtain that medal because the game ends as soon as you beat the champ.

For anyone who wants a winning strategy, the easiest way to kill the jousters is rapidly click as they're chasing, then when it goes to the positioning part, move the mouse away to lure the shield, wait two heartbeats, position the mouse on the enemy's shield on the 3rd heartbeat, and finally have it positioned on whichever is weaker of his head or body (or just always go for the head) before the 4th and final heartbeat.

Some items seem to give unlimited experience points (though not to your totals -- only to the item itself) and even though they're maxed, on the menus it'll say whatever number of whatever, but they're both the same number, instead of maxed, though it'll say maxed in the actual jousts. Probably a bug and a case of using a strict equals when using floating point math. If you're using floating point math (which you are, for some strange reason, despite integer math making more sense here) you do comparisons for equality within a range plus or minus some small arbitrary value. For example, when comparing x and 500, if x is floating point, instead of saying "if (x == 500)" you'd say "if (x > 499.999999 && x < 500.000001)".

Icons for items were incorrect compared to what they were in the shop. It seems they were all one less than what they were supposed to be. It's a minor point, but this doesn't seem like it would have been that difficult to correct.

The-EXP responds:

Thanks for the indepth review and analysis. Being honest here you probably know way more about the game and mechanics and quirks and bugs than I do at this point, I made it a very long time ago :p Sorry if the problems made you enjoy it less, but hopefully you still had fun overall :)

beat it on the second generation. its a really fun game but, a little too easy to win if you can get by the shield of the champion
