1.8 .....comes out 11/11/11
Feels like its been taking forever for the next update, I know how you feel.
Supposedly Notch is even planning to delay the originally scheduled 11/11/11 official game launch date as well by around a week (with him it could end up being several). I'm guessing he has been avoiding giving us set dates ever since his Beta 1.0 tardiness.
I love his game and Notch himself seems like a decent guy, but the delays are really getting agitating.

I think a lot of folks are expecting too much from 1.8. Get your hopes up too high, and no amount of awesome will appease you.
At least it's an update. The last one was over a month ago.

1.8! get 'er dun!
I'm not waiting for the new patch because I won't play until it's out and completed on xbox! :D My nerdy friends converse much about it though...
SSP mods for the computer version are fun, though I'll probably buy the game for XBOX as well when that comes out. I'm just going to assume that one cannot run a SMP server on XBOX like one could on computer, however, and that's also a big part of this game for me.
