I like the ideas

And it has flaws, the game is not so smooth and the units that disappear after the level up made me not a happy gamer

I beat the game with a 0 time 1st try but....

I beat the game with a 0:00 time first try. I had to take a phone call during the tutorial after the 3 step. I came back to it 15 minutes later and I had killed the first 2 turrets and was killing the 3rd one. I seen I had a 1000 in cash click on the barracks or whatever upgraded and I made it to the base. I still didn't do the forth step seeing it was the last. The base was a negative health I completed the 4th step and bam i beat it.

So....
I decided to give it a fair play through. It looks better then the others in the series for sure. I loved the new concept of unit choices and the limit to them added a new dynamic for planing your offense. The upgrade system for the units was really nice. Along with the fact that the turrets can be placed up to mid battle field.

Some things I didn't really care for was when the aliens evolved it was hard to tell what era they where in. The aliens had no specials made it a little on the easy side and took away some of the great scenarios they would cause. The spawn time were very erratic depending what side if the field I had the camera on. Last thing is that I can have a almost dead turret and be able to sale it for the same price I bought it for which meant it like almost free.

Other then that all in all very good base for a new system for the series. Just needs a few bug fixes and maybe a mode without the aliens perhaps more like the old style with humans vs humans. I have played them all and beat all of them. So Thank you for your time and effort. Once i seen this I said I have to play it. :)

Awesome

Those whiners are whining, can you hear them? I beat the normal mode playing for the first time. It took me 45 min but I did it. The game needs a few sound effects but the music is glorious. Losing everything you have at each evolutionary stage is surely a metaphor for the sacrifice of moving forward. I thought it was tough and awesome. Almost a perfect game. The only thing holding back is the medium on which it is portrayed. You rock man.
