This is the first animation in which I worked long and hard to create. I'm really interested in the idea of people and how they age at the moment and i'm curious, concerned and scared about elderly life. Through this animation, I convey my thoughts, which include the sense of desolation, loss of independence, especially around unknown people and the physical and emotional sideaffects (loss of voice, movement etc.). Hope you enjoy it and thank you.

Well...

I think you have done a good job here, and I do see improvement from your earlier works. The story is interesting, though I do feel as though it could use some expansion. Your animation and art could use some work, but at the same time you do have a nice style developing within your flash work that I can appreciate. I also think the voice work and sounds / levels, sync, etc. could use some work, but given the otherwise disjointed nature of the movie it does fit.

I think your view of aging is rather grave, and though I know there are some nursing homes which are quite vile places not all of them are. If you are curious as to what the always impending age may bring to you perhaps an introspective is not the way to go. Maybe talking to a variety of people could alleviate your concerns (or maybe heighten them.. dun dun dun). Just a thought. Not of course that there is anything wrong with dark humor or thoughts.

That all being said the moribund nature of this film, the art, sounds, and animation all do work well together, even though I think there could be improvement I did enjoy watching it. I am giving this a 4/5 and an 8/10. I hope you continue to work in flash, I think we could see some much better things from you in the future. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Good story but needs work.....

The story was all right and make sense. Just need alot of work on your animation. But understand that it is your first animation. It is not bad for a first animation just need work. For example try to make the wheels wheelchair look like they are moving when the wheelchair is moving.

Intimacy

I must say that I'm impressed, and I rarely am. Maybe you don't display the best mastery of flash yet, but this animation was still very deep, creating an intimacy, a relax yet observant intimacy, with the viewer. Continue the good work.

wow......

this was a terrible depiction of a nursing home. my great grandfather was in a nursing home once. just a year or two ago, he was pulled out of the home to have a medical exan done. afterwards he was told that he only had a few days to a week to live. and when he came back to that nursing home he was greeted heavily with hugs from employees and kisses from the ladies staying there as well. and the place in the video here, is absolutely nothing like what he described nursing homes as. this desrvs 0/10 and 0/5.

I'm sorry to hear that, but we all go through similar things and for your information, not all nursing homes are alike.
