This animation is about facing your barriers. In what ever you want to achieve. All the things that may hold you back. You have to know your limits or weaknesses, turn around and confront them. In my case it was laziness, lack of motivation and so I represented this as rust, (you get rusty when you don't use your talents). So I tried to confront it by animating more.

This animation helped me break this rust literally too. So whatever it is ; disbelief, lack of confidence, others telling you you cant do it, challenges. If your truly determined you can reach your potential by just confronting these things. Everyones capable of achieving so much in life, but they never think they can. Make use of your talents, your light, your true potential and be determined whatever it may be, all it takes is the determination to sacrifice and give all you have until you reach your goal.

As you improve and get stronger, so will the challenges in front of you get bigger, stronger, but overcoming these bigger challenges is what brings true joy.It is when we grow.

Even if you don't reach your goal exactly. You'll live a life without regrets. I hope you can see this. This was inspired by a famous Poem.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others."

Loved it!

Great flash, great messages. Only thing I think you could have done is to increase the speed of the 'kung-fu' when they weren't using any.... powers. It just seemed that they were a bit slower than they should have been. I understand that animating them at a faster speed would have some pitfalls. However, it would give a greater sense of how 'powerful' they are on top of their powers. That aside, it is your animation and I enjoyed it. So make more, because I'd love to see how you'll begin to improve as an artist.

Hot freaking damn!

This has got to be one of the best submissions I've seen for a long while. The animation was fluid and the effects were pretty much perfect! And the music fit perfectly with the message that you were sending along with the animation.

I salute you good sir and tip my hat.

Keep up the wonderfull work my friend.

Good effort

You can definitely see a lot of effort and joy was put in this. There are good special effects and some awesome moves in there. On the other hand, especially in the beginning, a lot of movements are unnatural and/or slow. I think movements are the primary focus of a stick fight, so no 10.
Lovely presentation, though. Especially how the music is used.

I think this is what I needed all this time.

Like you I have rust. I knew all this time what you're saying in the flash all along, but I thought "As I do the things I've wanted to do, it will get harder and harder, could I truly finish what I've started?"

I have ambitious projects in mind, and I've developed them in my head, they have grown with me, and it constantly saddened me that when I went to start on them, motivation faded. I think that was because when I did create, it didn't turn out like I had hoped. There was something off, it was always missing something. I tried and tried and tried to make them look right as I saw them in my head, but no matter how much I tried, I couldn't do it. I felt like I was spitting in the face of my own creations, and at myself, my desire to create. I gave up, and let the rust consume me, just like in the flash.

But this flash knocked some sense into me. I wasn't spitting me or my creations in the face, I simply had limitations. And as I practice more and more, those limitations will wither and break. The rust will be scrapped away, showing the luster of the metal that is my creativity and my desire to fulfill it. It will take time and effort, but I'll get there.

I thank you for this flash and it's message. The only thing that bothered me was trying to read the messages, the flash itself didn't allow me to pause so it was rather inconvient to read the stuff, but perhaps that was your intention. It takes effort and desire to read the messages, just as it takes those same things to fulfill yourself.

I will fulfill my life until the moment I die, and hope you will as well. Thank you very much, this is just what I needed.
