Eh...

I'd previously written a MASSIVE review on this game. It took me about half an hour to complete, and when I was finally done I clicked "submit", only to find out that it was blammed. "Oh well," I said to myself, "It's not the end of the world".

But now that the game is done I'm going to write my review again, only this time it'll probably only take five minutes to write. I remember it pretty well actually, but I'll summarize it for you.

So, let's do this quick: Art- Simple, kind of boring. Black boxes on white background? It's been done before, quite a bit. It came off as lazy to me, and made the character look strange. Yes, I know, it's called "gray story" but it's possible to have a complex animation for your characters that aren't just rectangles. Take limbo for example: the art style was pretty much the same thing, but there was evidently a lot of work put into the animations of the boy. Not so much here.

Music- No complaints here, fairly suiting actually.

Idea- Eh... bringing color to a grey world? Why not?

Gameplay- This is where you lost all your marks. Gameplay is the most important part of any game, and you fell flat on your face here. Repetitive, boring, dull all come to mind when thinking of this game. In my lost review I gave a bunch of ideas on how to spice it up, but I'll summarize it here: Add obstacles. Don't want your character to be able to die? A log falling over and blocking your path and making you pick between to other paths is a great way to add non-lethal obstacles and choice into your game. I didn't play all the way through, but it was almost painful to get through the dull tedious gameplay.

Anyway, i probably missed a lot of things I would've liked to cover, and what's worse, I probably covered them in my lost review, but I hope this summarizes it for you nicely. I don't like giving bad reviews, but this could use work.

Oh, and one more thing. LABELING YOURSELF AS AN ART GAME DOES NOT MEAN IT'S OKAY TO MAKE THE MISTAKES LISTED ABOVE!

That is all. If any developers are reading this, remember that.

Right...Way to much of a copy.

SilverStitch is a good friend of mine, so i'm very angry you'd make this. It's obviously not entirely the same, but this seems just like a copy of the colour my series. I am very dissapointed you did not give him some credit...if you thought this up 'originally' i'm sorry but this was already done. I'll give you a four, for trying. But this is quite upsetting.

Not that interesting

I lost interest. I didn't even want to finish it to see what happens at the end.

I like the sound, though.

Huh?

This wasn't exactly a game. A game has a meaning to it. It has a goal. This was just run in that direction and bring that item back. I could do the same thing at wal-mart with a claw game. It did have good graphics and was visually and musically beautiful which is why it got the 4 stars, but when you want to make more than an interactive short story I will be willing to invest my time into playing it.
