I'm gonna be honest here,

This game is tedious, boring.
It feels like the only thing that gives it length is how slow you walk. It's a very simple game, a very simple platformer, but even in simplicity you can miss the mark.
Call me insensitive, but I didn't find much emotion in this, no real meaning other than what you'd find in an average 'arty' game. A pseudo-deep 'revelation' meant to grab the hearts of the audience. Feels like you're relying on the song to make the whole thing sad, too. I suppose the fact I saw the end coming by the second pickup didn't help either.
Adding on that, the 'nameless block of pixels' type charater only goes so far. You can't simply plop him in and expect a real connexion with the player. If the character has no face, no voice, then he needs to act. He needs to interact with the world around him. He does very little of this.
I might also be completely in the wrong. Who knows. Just my opinion though.

Boring.

Tough. Is a art game the gameplay of the game is just Boring. And unsatisfacing. waste like all that time to see the guy die? Just no. You should improve everything except the music.

no thank you

As entertainment this is quite boring. Its a generic and easy fetch quest that lacks depth or cvhallenge. As art this is flawed for a couple of reasons. The first is the fact that we have seen this style of artistic presentation in about every art game on newgrounds. The concept of restoring colour is in at least three well know 'art' games on this site alone never mind others.
The 'message' of the game will pass over most peoples heads. If i am not mistaken then the protagonist is the NPC's dead friend of relative. The small grave stone by the yellow flower and the fact you can't be seen by here lends itself to this theory. You are tasked with gathering the good memorys that are represented in color and object. Aftwards she lets go of her grief and you rest in peace.
I like the idea of an interpretive game and i am not against 'art' games as a whole i just belive that the music, method and style of the game was allt oo familiar to the genre.

dull

This whole concept of "grey world, become color world" has been done to death. There was little to no story in this game other than the "he's dead, therefore it's deep" twist at the ending. The world was boring, and the art ranged from bad to equally boring. And the music was annoying, sounds like something a 6th grader came up with. This game was something I'd expect to get for free on some website, and the little color icons looked like lucky charms anyways so I guess that would work.

Not really that artistic

When it takes me 4-5 loops of the single song in your game to get to the end while I'm doing exactly the same thing the entire time (wooooooo 7 random fetch quests in a row) it really just dilutes whatever point you were making at the end. But then this is an art game so maybe the point can just be pointful anyways?

But you don't have a clear point or even a clear emotion. Obviously it's some kind of love story but it's not very well communicated. The waving guy could have been anything from someone smitten by cupid's arrow to someone who felt he was invisible and just needed a friend. Then you bring stuff with colors and at the end the girl doesn't even seem to notice that, but you're just so vague in general it's impossible to tell whether the dude is actually trying to sacrificing himself for the girl, isn't but ends up sacrificing himself, and whether or not he knew he would disappear or what his reaction was.

In the end the characters and the plot were empty and the end was predictable. As a result the game itself felt empty and not meaningful.
