This Game Speaks To My Experience IRL

I'm currently in love with a girl who immediately tried and succeeded in getting a restraining order against me. I was in high school, I barely spent any time with her at all, and she got super ultra hysterical on me and did a whole bunch of fake crying and hyper-exaggeration to convince a judge that "her life was definitely in danger". Long story short, I'm of course still in love with her 6 years later; can't ever e-mail her or I get locked in jail; and she's a hyper-conservative evangelical Christian who will never in a million years be open to any kind of philosophical dialogue about economics, conspiracy theories, religious questions, etc.

Bringing the woman a representation of each piece of a color spectrum speaks to me because it's similar to how I would hope to interact with her if I were allowed to contact her. She's so deluded, and there's so many layers of delusion that it literally colors her reality, painting her portrait of propaganda so completely that in the end the audience must accept the truth behind how corrupt a developing culture will always remain. Women always do this: they pick relationships with people based off the most ignorant and delusional philosophies imaginable, then they do everything in their power to ignore someone who has the true answers. True love is simply non existent in this universe. It's the rarest of all truths, but it speaks directly to my experience.

Truly amazing.

I clicked the title with the intention of playing a simple, yet deep, game. I got what I expected, and so much more. The gameplay itself may turn those who expected entertainment away, but I don't know how they could have thought this was a kind of "fun" game. It may not be "fun" but I enjoyed it. The whole entire reason of the fetch quests and the long distances is so that the game makes you THINK. I was pondering over it throughout. Why is this guy fetching materialistic items for her? Why doesn't she notice it? Then, I noticed I started to blur and fade, and the colors started returning. The more I walked, the more I thought about its profound meaning. This game is meant for contemplation.

I came up with so many explanations throughout the 10 minutes. Could it be that the boy wants the girls love, and tries to win her affection with gifts, but it is all ultimately useless as he fades away? Or, is it that he is actually a dead man, who is trying to let the girl move on (Symbolized by the girl not noticing him, meaning he's a ghost. Also symbolized by the flower at the grave, which is presumably his. The girl releasing the dove was her moving on, and so the boy could then rest in peace).

Overall, throughout the game, it was a heart-wrenching experience. It speaks so many volumes that it makes me amazed. This is the kind of game that proves videogames CAN be art, not just mindless entertainment. This is as deep and meaningful as any book or piece of poetry. Bravo!
