This is the first of several games produced as a 3 week "challenge" called Game Slam at Ninja Kiwi. The idea being that each team of 2 creates something original and complete inside the 3 weeks. This weeks game is Flur, by Chad Edwards and Derek Wu. In their words "Flur aims to be a progressive casual adventure with engaging and nonthreatening gameplay."

The graphics are great for what it is, and I love the base gameplay mechanics, but I thought there was much untapped potential. You could stretch this game out so much more and offer a few more distractions from the gathering achievements. I also think the fairy should be a little smaller and grow as she gains energy. That would probably make it more like Flow, but who cares... it's a good RPG mechanic. I highly recommend adding some more story and progression elements.

Overall, it was a very relaxing game, but I thought it needed to provide the player more to do.

I thought it looked pretty, but I just kinda wanted more somehow. It got a little boring to me. Though if people are just looking for a game to relax and not do much or think about much, this is it.

Breathtaking. It's awesome to see something original for a change.

Very nice casual game with just enough skill required to keep it interesting. The overall game experience was good but I would have preferred the power ups to be a little more limited. Each one acted like an end all whether it was sucking up green spites like a vaccum, allowing you to fly right through the most complex formations in the game, or just out right obliterating any red dots on the screen in a hail of blue flak! Still, this is one of the best games for simply unwinding and doing something easy for a break.
