I want to see this game, but better!
I have to give this 8 stars, its SO CLOSE to being perfect...
Having these 'fully customizable tanks' is a dirty dirty lie as you have to start a new tank with each level. Which makes it difficult to modify and grow your tank to each level. The upgrades are easily bought and might as well be level ups, when you suddenly get surrounded without warning (like i was) it kinda sorta SUCKS hard when you had no idea of that and you get your oversized scrap heap pummelled into... an.. oversized scrap heap...
Aside from that, I love the idea behind it, the game play is great and I would love to see more things to fiddle with. *GOes back to playing*
Could use a sequel
I'd really love it if you guy's made a a sequel with this game, the major thing I want to see improved is the tank. The game would be much more fun if the tank would be upgradable and it wouldn't change for each level. And if the mission's could be longer and have enemies and the big tanks would be the bosses.

I think you've got a rad game hear. the graphics are crisp and nice (as always with nitrome) the idea and the effort you've in besides the actual programing (like the british accents, the whole steampunk feel, the art for the shop keepers etc.) it's all wonderfully done. the one thing i could say though it the fact that it's so long! most of the time when people come into newgrounds there either bored sitting at home or there on a lunch break, people are not going to comit to a game if it takes a good hour or two to complete, i think games on new grounds need to be short and fun and challenging (like steal the diamond, or toss the turtle etc.)

A fine Steampunk experience indeed, gentle fellow, though I dare say it can become a bit of a grind if played all in one sitting.
I liked the concept, but the gameplay was kinda choppy with all the level switching, and a little diddly with all the micromanagement. The guns should really just fire automatically and let you aim them if need be. The game would have been more fun if it was progressive and I could keep making a bigger tank, but it seemed like every level was just starting over.
