It was to short to actually have any emotions for the charter. Perhaps make it longer or something to give them more depth

I think that the major problem with this 'game' is that it's simply a short story with half the bare minimums needed to be considered a game. The story itself is not that good, because every last character was one dimensional. I didn't care about Walter, or Katy, or anyone. Why should I? I didn't have to, and that is why the story doesn't work. Tragic stories work when we care about the characters, and only when we care about the characters. I'm not going to complain about the art style. But I will at least say the music was good enough, being a saving grace for this half-game. The music at least helped create the atmosphere needed. It was not enough, however, but it was something.
