I've now played this game and another work of yours, 'Moon', both of which for some odd reason were featured in the Art Games page. I'm sorry, but neither game is very good at all.

'Moon' has all the exact same issues 'Loneliness' has. The first being its message. Art is not meant to paint a picture for us and then make us stare at it, art is meant to fill in just enough of a picture so that we can fill in the rest ourselves. Art is supposed to leave room for interpretation and thought. Your games skip over the "show, don't tell" aspect of art, and this aspect is really the only reason to even bother with art in the first place, so what's the point anymore? You squash interpretation and thought by completely forcing players onto one linear path that they can't divert off and then you shove your own message so far in their face that they can't see past it.

The second issue is your artwork and animation in both games. Having a game in a pixel style is not an excuse to have such terrible artwork, wonderful artwork is perfectly capable of being made in pixel style. Refer to games like Sword and Sworcery (I wonderful art game I reccomend to everyone) for examples, your game lacks any provoking visuals, and animations are bland and boring. It shouldn't take me 2 minutes to walk from one side of the screen to the other unless there's a point.

The third, final, and most distressing issue with your games is your game play. While I can usually excuse a lack of game play in art games in favor of a meaningful and stirring message, your games lack message, so game play becomes an issue. I did not have enjoy playing your game, your game felt like a chore. The only thing I did in this game is hold down the right error key. (I mean goodness, at least in 'Moon' I got to hold down the left sometimes!) If you're going to make your games into a threatre production rather than a piece of artwork, at least include enticing game-play, or we might as well go watch a movie.

While you seem to have down the basic mechanics of how to make a game, I feel like you have a really long way to go when it comes to games themselves and how they should be patterned. Very disappointed in both this and 'Moon'. Really not worth anyone's time at all. If you're reading this right now, don't even bother.
