Alight is a platformer that mixes exploration and reflexes and more than a little story. Move with the arrow keys, fly with the space bar or up arrow. If you find yourself having trouble getting much altitude, trying pressing the space bar at a slower pace until you find the right rhythm. And remember that you can always drop down out of a flock of birds without using a flap of your wings with the down arrow key.

Every time you enter a door, your game is automatically saved, and you can replay a level at any point.

If you're amazed by the music like we were, you should check out Smiletron, who made the song -- he has a web site at smiletron.org and more songs at 8bc.org/members/SMILETRON

Problem in pace/Pure poetic story/Deep

Pure poetry of a story line. Though, when it goes into what i called nightmare mode after selecting either the feather, clock, or candle, the music should have changed into something a little more action paced. I liked the relaxing music, but I think either a creepy, eerie, or fast-paced, action music change is more appropriate then the same thing or nothing when it goes dark. Not bad though, good controls, easy to move when you understand your power and your limits. i liked it., Very good project.

Good, but confusing.

I thought the differences in items would be like moral choices (as in just changes to the story), not a dang difficulty meter! I was halfway through the game before I realised that the candle is "easy", the feather is "medium" and the clock is "hard". It'd be a bit more fun if, say, the clock was always harder to reach and thus logically would appear as the hardest choice instead of clumping them on one island and leaving the choice to guesswork (unless you actually check out all the achievements before playing the game for some reason). -1 for confusing the crap out of me when I'm already playing a laggy and tough game.

Can't find that 8th level...

An excellent game with an amazing soundtrack. My only gripe is that the 8th level mentioned in the achievements seems impossible to find.

A demo for an interesting jump mechanic

White text with dark subtext is the bald space marine of indie games, but I'd rather you share a personal story rather than try to put this in a game about a bald space marine. If the story is based on real events, that is. If not, then screw you for using cancer as cheap drama.
