- Death/Pause bug fixed
- Freeze-bug after 2nd boss fixed
- Weaker Rats all game long (they are challenging not for high life but 'cause they're small and so hard to hit...but we anyway reduced their life so be killed with almost 1 shot even without Damage power-up).

After some funny misinterpretations by betatesters...
Note that the preloader minigame is NOT the real TR3D game, but just a funny gift to enjoy your loading wait.
Real game comes...ehm... after loading is completed :D

Toxie Radd 3D is the third episode of the Toxie Radd saga and marks the jump from top-down to a full 3D first person shooter!
All is possible thanks to a long and hard programming work that created, from scratch, our own new Xplo-R3D engine able to manage in Flash complex 3D enviroments, animated models and an attempt of 3D sound :D
-----
Background:
It's the story of Joe, an ex-inmate used as a specimen for a mad experiment. His right arm was removed and replaced with a gatling gun. He managed to escape the prison while it was under attack by zombies in episode 1.
Then he teamed up with a mysterious doctor, and he followed the trail to an abandoned factory where (after he "dealt with" a giant brain monster, Joe style) he found evidence that all this mayhem started in Central city in episode 2.
Now Joe's on his way, following an underground route that will lead him to the heart of the city. However, things are never as easy as they appear...

Would you understand and appreciate the huge effort in developing a realtime 3D game in Flash...rate it 5!!!

great game

its very house of the dead-ish. but at the same time its very house of the dead-ish (in fact, the *bite* marks look exactly the same). i understand there are some major difficulties with creating a 3d game in flash, but i do also think that a little bit more time could have been put into the enemies, in terms of reactions and appearance. other than those things it was an all around good game, especially for newgrounds, i just think that people have come to expect more from 3d games nowadays.

game needs a little work as I got stuck and couldn't move .... tried shoooting everything in sight to get door to open .... I assigned my right mouse button to give me spacebar and just used arrow keys to dodge .... would be nice to be able to backup a little when mobbed .... will it be fixed? ~ probably not from past experience with these types of games .... rated it 2.5* for now and added to favorites ....

2D seems to be better in flash

I understandi it must be very hard to make a 3D flash game. But maybe it shouldn't be pushed on further. Toxie radd 2 was awsome, but I didn't like this one that much. The characters in the previous episodes looked great, here they are totally angular - wich looks pretty bad. The graphich of this game reminded me to the FPS-es of the early '90-s, like Quake 1 and such. But in them at least you could move freely.
But it's not just the graphics that makes this game much less good than the previous 2. In those you could move freely and there was much variety: many weapons, zombie types and bosses. Here you only have your gatling gun (ok, there are a some powerups but it's still just the same gun), just a few zombie types and you fight the same boss three times, always with the same strategy. Also your movement is very limited - so you can't fall back and leave many powerups behind.
Again, I know it's much harder to make something look good in 3D than in 2D and free movement is also hard to make. But that's why it shouldn't pushed on in flash. Maybe in Unity. But today when the full feature games have beautiful, realistyc graphics and fine movement there is no point in makeing such an fps even for a casual game. For casual games 2D is just fine anyway.
