UPDATE - August 1st
- Death/Pause bug fixed
- Freeze-bug after 2nd boss fixed
- Weaker Rats all game long (they are challenging not for high life but 'cause they're small and so hard to hit...but we anyway reduced their life so be killed with almost 1 shot even without Damage power-up).

After some funny misinterpretations by betatesters...
Note that the preloader minigame is NOT the real TR3D game, but just a funny gift to enjoy your loading wait.
Real game comes...ehm... after loading is completed :D

Toxie Radd 3D is the third episode of the Toxie Radd saga and marks the jump from top-down to a full 3D first person shooter!
All is possible thanks to a long and hard programming work that created, from scratch, our own new Xplo-R3D engine able to manage in Flash complex 3D enviroments, animated models and an attempt of 3D sound :D
-----
Background:
It's the story of Joe, an ex-inmate used as a specimen for a mad experiment. His right arm was removed and replaced with a gatling gun. He managed to escape the prison while it was under attack by zombies in episode 1.
Then he teamed up with a mysterious doctor, and he followed the trail to an abandoned factory where (after he "dealt with" a giant brain monster, Joe style) he found evidence that all this mayhem started in Central city in episode 2.
Now Joe's on his way, following an underground route that will lead him to the heart of the city. However, things are never as easy as they appear...

Would you understand and appreciate the huge effort in developing a realtime 3D game in Flash...rate it 5!!!

Awesome flash FPS!

Out of curiosity did you get the idea of a machine gun arm from Barret from FF7?

Either way, great to see good first person games in the portal

Xplored responds:

Many books, comics, movies and games - when sufficiently trash... - suggested us the idea of the weapon melted into the protagonist arm.
You should see the intro video of Toxie Radd (1st episode available on NG too) to better understand the full story. Or maybe you've just seen it :D
THanks for the support and for the 10!

hot damn!

Nostalgia went up like a firework, good old 3D shoot em stages is where its at!
32-bit textured walls and characters will never die out. Dear christ you made the simplest enemy the hardest!?!? jesus those rates were persistent as fuck. i wouldnt be surprised if in next game the boss is a giant fucking mouse with gnarled teeth and half its torso missing being nothing more than a gigantic rotting piece of shit hanging from the ceiling puking up acidic innards.

i loved getting rushed and only died once which assured me that this game had difficulty if not a challenge.

though my only gripes are that there wasnt enough thrash/industrial music as i would have liked but im glad you put some in the boss battles. also there wasn't modifications to the gatlin gun to turn it into other variants like a shotgun or nade launcher yeah know, to spice it up with variety? but then again i cant complain, the powerups and the skill coin system worked wonders and i loved it knowing you couldn't upgrade everything in one go around.

this was more than pleasant to have played 20mins. Time well spent!
oh and hey, if you ever need help with 3D i'm always willing to support!

Just logged in to say..

Im an avid flash gamer and I LOVED your game. The only glitch I saw was not een bad, I hit the retry button and the door I just opened (and got owned lol) didnt open and instead I walked through it. Cant imagine this is a frequent problem though. Really fun character, theme song, gameplay and powerups. Reminded me a bit of house of the dead. Keep it up

Good work but mind the fact that...

...most people own average PC's. I love that Virtua Cop feeling but you should do the smart thing and use sprites where possible, to avoid lagging. It does lag a bit and that's what stopped me from playing this great game that's also full of potential. I can imagine how long it must have taken scripting the camera movement, enemy appearances and everything else. So that's all I can say. I loved the game but the lag was a big setback.

Xplored responds:

Have you FP 10.2+?
Have you tried to play maybe closing other applications or browser windows. It may help.
Anyway you're right in terms of average PC and performance.
We are working harder and harder to make the engine better and better performing (then...implementing Molehill when it will be the right time :D ).
And, as a conclusion...thanks for the 10!

Very good

Sound 9 (very fitting but just felt like it lacked somthing)
Voice 9 (its good not to much, clear)
Music 10 (very fitting, not to loud nor to quiet)
Textures 10 (getting good 3D textures to work is normaly a very hard thing to do)
3D World 10 (it wasent empty hallways all the way through, and it wasent over clutterd)
Gameplay 9 (It was rather plain and easy, but i did enjoy my time playing)

Total: 9.5 (round that up = 10)

Very good job indeed.
