Fast paced, action packed beat 'em up with RPG elements. Use multiple upgradeable weapons, items and magic to defeat vampires, werewolves and legions of the undead!

Controls:
Arrow keys - Move
ESC - Pause
A - Block
S - Jump/No/Cancel
D - Attack/Yes/Activate/Use magic
F - Charge magic
E - Select item
R - Use selected item
Space - Swap weapons

TIPS:

* The key to defeating some enemies is using combinations of the 3 primary weapons (swap between these with SPACE). Vampires, for example, must be attacked first with the bat or katana until they are weakened, then finished with the stake.
* Hold F to charge magic, wait until you hear a blip and see yellow particles appear. To use level 1 magic, wait until you see the first yellow particles, then press D. For level 2 magic, wait until you see the second yellow particles, etc.
* If you get cornered by an enemy, you can dash while blocking by holding A and double tapping a direction key. This is a good way to get behind an attacking enemy or get out of the way of a group of attacking enemies.
* If you jump and attack in mid-air, you'll do more damage if you hit the enemy.

Get a tester, ???, profit

This game needs some tweaks for to be very good. It isn't obvious what you need to do when you die to use another life (hit the attack button) and there are several apparent glitches besides. Having a fully upgraded weapon makes the attack glitchy, for instance, and it won't always do damage. This is a problem when most enemies do damage so quickly.

People in other reviews have mentioned certain mechanical things they don't like (hitting 1 enemy at a time, bodyblocking by enemies and especially the vampires, etc) and those are also something to note.

The game itself is quite solid, a challenge with the bosses, albeit rather short. Get someone to help you test your games, because if you do, then I'm sure you can make something really great. This is just good because it's so frustrating sometimes.

HOW DO I BEAT THE FIRST BOSS?!

I TRY STRIKING HIS ARMS, I TRY STRIKING HIM ON THE GROUND, AND WHEN I TRY JUMPING TOWARDS HIM, WHICH ACTUALLY GETS ME CLOSER, BUT WHEN I STRIKE AT THE RIGHT TIME WHEN IM STILL AIRBORNE MY ATTACK DOES NOTHING! FIX THIS PROBLEM! *relaxes*
look. i like this game, it truly is a good game, but due to this problem, i have no other choice, but to give this game a 5. sorry.

I found a major problem with this game

I noticed there are three levels on the screen that the character can stand on, like the lanes on a city road. When I play it, I can't use any spells in the center lane because the sprites are twitchy. It always goes into split second intervals between the idle stance and the charging stance, which keeps me from charging up mana for an attack. I also can't jump while in the center lane, which is annoying considering I can in the top and bottom lanes. Overall, this is a good concept, but the gameplay needs to be a bit more fluid, and you need to work on the bugs.

Pretty Fun, has some problems though

The game it's pretty well made, the artwork it's fitting and the music gives a "zombie" vibe that helps bring up the game's atmosphere, overall, the concept is good.

The main problem are the controls (4 keys in a single road is awful, another layout such as "wasd" for movement, "q" & "e" for weapon swapping and item using and "space" for jumping would work a lot better, in my opinion.

A secondary problem is that some aspects of the game are bugged, dashing worked half of the time, i don't know why, the vampires become unkillable if they band together, one shields the other from hits, mainly because weapons only hit a single enemy, even if they are in the same spot (big BIG mistake, refer to every other beat em up in history)

Other than that, i loved the game (the upgrades and perks are pretty cool IMO, the magic charging, not so much)

Great Idea, Great Art, Flawed Product.

I like this game, or at least I want to. The art/graphics are well done, the music is up to par, and the concept behind the game is well fleshed out. My main problem with this game is the godaweful controls. I dont know if its just me, but the kind of delay (disregarding the altogether sluggish cadence of the fighting) you get in your attacks is unforgivable in what amounts to a hack'n slash game. Also, when I died, that was it. I tried to reload the level, and all I got was my corpse sitting at the start of the level. I dont know if anyone else had that problem, but its not the sort of thing you can just let slide. Overall, this game is admirable, if only because of the obvious amount of TLC that went into its creation. However, Im sorry to say, I can not give this game anything better than a 6, mostly due to aforementioned flaws, which are, sadly, crippling to a potentially great game.
