Update 2012-06-16: A sequel, Superfighters Deluxe, is in development. You can partake in pre-alpha testing by visiting MythoLogicInteractive.com .
Update 2011-07-28: SURVIVAL MODE added! Make your stand (solo or co-op) against endlessly spawning enemies.
Update 2011-07-23: Improved visibility of players and weapons. AI difficulty has been tweaked slightly and in Stage Mode we removed the "best of 3" condition - you now only need to win the stage once to advance to the next. When the new version comes online, a version number should show in the upper left corner.

Superfighters is all about little men shooting, stabbing, mashing, smashing, burning and blowing each other into tiny bits... and then doing it all over again!
The first thing you need to know about SF is this: IT AIN'T FAIR. It's not supposed to be fair. Player spawns are random. Weapon spawns are random. The objects that spawn on the map are random. Critical hits with guns are random. It's not about balanced competetive gameplay, it's about chaos. Complete and utter chaos. We ask that you keep that in mind and don't get angry if you have a bad first experience - the tables will turn. Thank you :)
* 1 and 2 player mode. Play co-op with a friend or try your best to murder him.
* 13 weapons and 4 maps.
* The spectacle is made more spectacular with Box2D physics.
* Pick up bullet time powerups for a boost in combat.
* Finish the Stage Mode to unlock a new player skin!
Special thanks to hzlancer and Chriss!
Enjoy!

this game keeps surprising me
i mean that you could send someone flying with a rocket through their chest right up the elevator to the next floor and then take out another one of his teammates because of the explosion of 2 barrels next to it
this game is perfect in its gameplay stuff can be added but i love it how its like now
and i havent had any bugs so you really did an amazing job here :)

Great game
It is awesome, but 9/10 because:
1) You should make a downloadable version, with more characters, a level designer, weapon designer, and a way to design your own characters
2) Maybe you should add a mouse aim "option"
3) you should add Online multiplayer
4) Needs more maps
5) Maybe you could add a few triggered events?
6) A way to pick up items in the map

Good ( But some key problems )
Superfighters:
Graphics:
+ The graphics are old style if that's your aim (it probably is a plus )
+ the graphics are easy like I said before but go well with the game it's simple map fighting and murdering each other
- The graphics aren't for every gamer people who don't like this style will hate to play or less like to play your game.
Audio:
+ The audio is good the sound of when you shoot your gun or throw a grenade or punch the enemy is a bit above the normal value but I think this spices up your game
- Maybe ask as this is a pure fighting map game to request access to the pc to play your favourite music like if you like metal you can easily put in a loud and real battle metal song and start kicking ass this also will let players less see your graphics if they don't really like them
Gameplay:
+ The gameplay goes nice no real key trouble everything reacts like it should
- the way we have to play is a bit weird instead of N and M use J and K then your hand is left to move around and about the same lv on the right is your other hand to easy punch and shoot .
- Also to pick up a weapon use then the I key as it would be then just above your weapon key and this makes it able to quickly pick up your weapon
- You have some elevators and probably some traps in your game it's nice not that but make your maps a bit larger and then it would be a bit more fun to play more traps to dodge more enemies.
- Your menu is not done right isntead of scrolling just make it able to click on the stuff we wanna access or change.
Extra's
- Didn't found really something extra that boosts up this game from the others
Verdict: Good
Superfighters goes on the classic highway and wants to relive the old days of gaming making a game hard and sometimes frustrating but always fun to play.
the Audio and the fast paced action in this game are it's biggest plusses.
the graphics are less and maybe a bit outdated as well as the gameplay has a bit weird key functions and is a bit hard to get if you didn't do the tutorial
I strongly advice to watch the tutorial to understand the game.
Tips:
+Spice up your menu a bit make it just click to access stuff instead of scrolling and hitting a key cause your menu is the begin of the game if that's not that good people will be more critic you need to immediately show what this game has to offer.
+ Put the keys in a more used form people here know most key stuff from fighting games where which key is but you scramble it up + if you didn't follow the tutorial you won't immediately find them where your gamer insticts tell ya the J and K key
+ The game might be unfair no problem in that but don't overdue it i didn't go far in your game thanks to your keys but make it still playable extremely hard maybe but playable cause if they get frustrated too much 85% whill rate your game really down for it and we don't want that do we : )
+ Maybe a bit of a storyline in it or if you wanna stay in the classic just fight and beat fine by me but a bit of storyline even if it's a mere introduction would be nice otherwise make more levels and more traps and new stuff in the game that wants people to keep playing.

Good effort, needs more fine tuning.
When you said the game wasn't fair, what you really meant was 'balanced'. The game isn't balanced. At all. The controls are incredibly clunky with the ability to aim your weapon being the biggest offender of all. I understand that you wanted the game to have co-op capabilities, but it's incredibly frustrating not to be able to simply use the mouse to aim, and instead have to spend time growing accustomed to this swiveling keyboard control that misses more often than it hits. The melee is also pretty stale and pretty much boils down to: 1. Get a better weapon than the other guy. 2. Hope the AI can't hit 14 buttons at once.
Which brings me to the final problem with the game. While the user is struggling to adapt to the clunky control system, the AI has complete mastery over it. The AI is very capable of setting of a chain reaction of explosions before you've ever left the starting gate, or just nailing you between the eyes with his starter pistol while you're trying to aim yours. Melee is equally infuriating as the AI will perfectly dodge around and pull off maneuvers effortlessly that the user would have extreme difficulty in performing.
The map is also a cluttered mess. The 8-bit nature of the game and the fact that all characters are essentially the same pallet swap makes it difficult to find yourself initially. The fact that everything is a dark colored square makes it difficult to distinguish between items of importance in the battlefield. That is, of course, assuming you aren't immediately obliterated at the word 'go'.
Implement mouse aiming, make the characters more defined, and find a way to draw more attention to spawned weapons and you'd have a pretty good fighter on your hands. As is the good things about the game quickly become lost in its' faults.
